This hotel was cheap and easily accessible via Osaka local transit. Its located in a bit of a "party alley" which was at first a bit worrysome, but we couldnt hear any street noise from our room and we felt pretty safe in the area. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby and a good central location for exploring Osaka. The rooms are small but overall clean and the staff were friendly. My main complaints about the rooms were the lack of smart tvs (no streaming services or ability to cast from our phones) and the bedding smelled a bit funky (a mix of cigarette smoke and bleach maybe?). Overall good value for your money but wouldnt recommend for longer stays.

Overall horrible, room was dirty, smelled and wasn’t adequately cleaned. Partner and I stayed for 10 days and it was not pleasant. Hotel is also not called “Sonezaki Luxe Hotel”, it has “Re Re Hotel Umeda” as the name on the front.

Don’t be fooled, it is treated as a love hotel, we saw many people (whom almost always parted ways just after leaving the hotel) come and go for half hour increments. It felt like we were the only genuine guests staying at the hotel. The rooms also had a weird “funky” smell to them when you first entered which almost made the whole stay unbearable.

For some reason, the air conditioning unit points toward the entrance and not the bed? Elevators had a weird smell in them sometimes and were not nice to be in at all.

We had to specifically request the rooms be cleaned during our stay as it seems rooms are only cleaned after checkout. Rooms/beds flared our acne, pillows were horrible and covered in plastic, and a “double room” was just 2 beds pushed together with a guard rail between them.

Curtains were not cleaned and had stains on them, which is not the end of the world, however they do touch the bed sheets and the person sleeping on that side which was not pleasant when sleeping.

Location was just after a red light district, which meant there is a lot of activity during the night, thankfully not heard/noticed when staying in the room. However staff do make a significant amount of noise when cleaning adjacent rooms throughout the night. The location of the hotel is close (about 10-15 minute from the station) to get you all around Osaka which was very helpful.

Staff were polite, with some understanding annd trying to talk in English however not all did (which is completely fine in Japan).

There is an Apa Hotel very close (not in/around the red light district) which would have the same ammenities, size and cleaner rooms for essentially the same location to the station (and definitely cheaper).

We stayed at hotels comparable in price to this in both Tokyo and Kyoto, which completely blew this out of the water. Definitely not a 4 or even 3 star room. We will definitely not be returning which is a shame because Osaka is amazing.

This hotel was fine for 1 night but glad we didn't stay longer. It is relatively close to osaka station which is nice.
The check-in process was bare bones and unfriendly. No english is spoken (not that I expect that in Japan, but just to note).
The room was suuuuper dusty, like it had not been cleaned properly in ages. The walls are peeling and scuffed, the room has seen better days.
Bathroom area is nice.
Very small bed area, glad we had only backpacks and not suitcases.
The fridge was non functional.
Overall, would not return.

The hotel room we booked was a perfect size in comparison to the many we’ve stayed at which made our trip much easier. The room was clean and the front desk was helpful for what we needed. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from Osaka station which is a doable walk. Theres even some bars and restaurants close by to eat at if you’re hungry.

Overall, the bedroom is extremely dirty and dusty but the bathroom is nice. The bathing area is on the larger side, with a separate room for shower and toilet. However, the room was extremely dirty, I opened the blinds and a huge dusty bunny dropped from the ceiling. There's an air purifier in the room but it has so much dirt on the grates I didn't want to turn it on. The floor under the bed and the corners of the floor also had a build up of dirt. They do not empty your trash or clean your room but do have a receptacle on the first floor next to the microwave. The hotel is a bit far from Umeda but is otherwise conveniently located near food and retail. It was also pretty cheap so it had that going for it

Separate toilet to washing room was good. The staff were very lovely.

We've stayed at this luxurious hotel and it acted as our base for travelling to other cities and places. Quite close to the Osaka station by foot and great part accessible (with luggage) via underground, see picture.

Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom is pleasant and you can get some amenities at the reception, such as bath salts and coffee-to-go.

Nice, large rooms with a great bathroom and shower! Great price. Couldn't be happier.

Bed was small, room was big by Japanese standards. Don't expect a western style shower, toilet is in a separate room from the bath which is nice. Location in Osaka is less than desirable. The restaurant next door is legit good value and great food.

A wonderful hotel with good beds and large rooms. Staff was truly lovely. Highly recommended!

The staff were really lovely and helpful! They happily stored our luggage for the day after we checked out and even asked if we needed anything else once we left. The room was spacious and had the biggest bath I’ve seen in Japan! Location was good, close to subways and Osaka station.
