They let me in the street!!! I pay for two nights, and when I arrive the door was close. Noone there. Noone answering. I just went down to the Izakaya, there where so nice and call the property. She start yelling me, telling that 'you don't send message, you no enter'. Worst english than mine, and immediately hang the phone. No more knews for the owner. I continue waiting for any answer... Please don't go!

Far from Kyoto and far from the station at otsu, no reception and was treated like a fool because the app I used doesn’t support messages , I was apparently told a combination to unlock the door but had to wait an hour for the owner, through a misunderstanding I only booked one night instead of two , when I was woken up by the owner to say the place was full for the evening and I had not booked the time I thought I had I began to pack my things and organise another place to stay , she seemed to get very aggressive and told me
I couldn’t even stand on the road outside to book another hotel and had to move away because she owned outside the guesthouse, not knowing I could speak Japanese she began to berate me to a Japanese customer while I stood outside booking my much much better similarly priced accomodation in town, no towels , poor ammenities that were broken , can’t understand how this place has a good rating other than it was very cheap

It's a 15-minute walk from JR Otsu Station, and the facilities are decent. I wouldn't say it's very good.

I contacted the hotel manager on Ctrip. He sent me an address but I didn't take it seriously. I went directly to the hotel where I booked. But he said it was full and asked me to go to a branch. It was tiring to walk several miles with my luggage. So he drove to pick me up. It is a Chinese-run hotel. It was a renovated old Japanese-style house. The new branch has separate rooms. It is not far from Lake Biwa down the slope. I booked again a few days later. But the owner didn't respond or reply.

Such a lovely hostel to stay. The owner is very friendly. If you’re looking for a place that offers nature and rest, only 10 minutes away from Kyoto station. This is your place

No wifi, bathroom is dirty. We found a half drank milk carton in the unusable fridge. No towel, I’ve never been in a guest house without towel. It seem like the owner didn’t even bother to clean this place up before taking new guests in. Horrible services. How tf did you get 4 stars?

This is a B&B that provides Chinese services. It is located within walking distance of the JR station and the port, and is just across the street from the shopping street. We booked the entire 2nd floor, which is very large and has all the toiletries and kitchenware you need. We also happened to meet the Otsu Festival by coincidence. It was so lively and we were very lucky and happy.

I went here on April 27, 2024. There was no receptionist in the facility but they contacted me through the application. It was a very nice location but I prefer the rooms were clearly stated for each guests. Overall it was a nice visit!

Simple small hostel. The lady who runs it is very sweet and helped me with some odd requests, since I'm traveling by bicycle. The location is great. nice walking market street near by and very close to watch sunrise or sun set on Lake Biwa.
