Palace Japan Hotel in Tokyo

No issues at all, apart from the small room size. The price was good, and even though the single room didn't have a private bathroom or toilet, the shared facilities were very clean and rarely used. The location is excellent, with a large supermarket and several convenience stores nearby. It's also just a 5-minute walk to both the JR station and a subway station.

Upon arrival at the hotel, I really appreciated the staff member who thoroughly explained how to use the amenities and the alternative back entrance when the main door is closed. The room reminded me of a school dorm, which made for a fun stay with my friend.

Two stops from Nippori Station, about a ten-minute walk from the station. There are supermarkets opposite the accommodation and outside the station. The room is small and basic, just enough to open a large suitcase. A large blanket is provided, which makes for a comfortable sleep. The environment is very clean, and there's a microwave and hot/cold water, but no conditioner. For this price, there's nothing to complain about. If I only had hand luggage, I'd consider staying again, but I wouldn't recommend it with large luggage as you have to go over a footbridge and push it for a long way.

The room was spacious enough for 1 person, i can open my 28 inch luggage there easily. For the price that i paid, i can say it’s worth the price. One thing that i like, it’s equipped with mini refrigerator. All the staff were really helpful and kind. It’s located 7 minutes by walk to the nearest metro station (Minami Senju). Thank you.

Came back after three days in South Korea so this was technically my second time staying here! Perfect for what I needed—a place to sleep and come back to after a day of exploring. Very friendly staff who were kind and helpful. This time, I had a large piece of luggage (bike box) and they were kind enough to let me put it in the hallway for one night. I also liked that I was able to have my luggage picked up right at Hotel Palace Japan by a luggage delivery service (Airporter) and sent to the airport on the same day. These were really helpful things for my last few days in Japan. The laundry was efficient but I wish there was a place to hang my clothes to dry (the balcony doesn’t have places to hang laundry). The only thing I wish were different was that the closet in my room seemed like something wet was placed there for a long time, so it smelled a little bit mildewy but acceptable. The first room I stayed in didn’t have this problem. When I come back to Tokyo, this will definitely be the place I stay again.

September 16, 2025, one night.
I can't believe this is my third trip to Japan this year, just to see the Twice concert on September 17th. It's only been three months since my last visit to Tokyo, and I always stay at this hotel whenever I'm here. The front desk still has that kind and enthusiastic old lady – I've really become a regular! She recognized me immediately and seemed surprised to see me again. We even chatted about recent events during check-in, which was really touching.

Minamisenju is only about a 30-minute walk from Senso-ji Temple and about a 10-minute walk from the station. With JR and subway access, it's quite convenient to get to other places. This time, I discovered that about a 15-minute walk from Minamisenju, you can find the super-secret Minowabashi Station on the Arakawa Line tram. I leisurely took it all the way to Kishibojimmae Station. I highly recommend the French family restaurant AU bon COIN here. You can make reservations by email on their official website; it's an incredibly delicious, cost-effective, and affordable place!

Perfect place for (female) solo travelers! There is a female only floor and each floor has their own shower facilities. Everything felt clean and well maintained. The lady at the reception is very friendly and showed me the place when I arrived. There is a kitchen and laundry room available. A supermarket, convenient stores and the metro are within walking distance.

Clean rooms, friendly front desk staff, a dedicated ladies-only floor, a supermarket across the street, a 10-minute walk to the subway station, and a bus stop right outside.

Place is clean. Staff is friendly. Price is acceptable.
