Richmond Hotel Tokyo Mejiro in Tokyo

Two-minute walk from Mejiro Station. The hotel lobby has a retro charm, and the front desk staff are very friendly, always greeting me when I pass by. The room had high ceilings and a separate air conditioner, though the heating was a bit weak. The bathroom was a three-piece split, but the toilet cubicle was enclosed and had a slight odor. Breakfast was included, but I didn't use the voucher and exchanged it for coffee and cake at the front desk instead. Also, there was no complimentary water in the room, but Matsumoto Kiyoshi is right outside, where I bought a 2L bottle for 68 yen.

The hotel's location is excellent, right near Mejiro Station on the JR Yamanote Line. You just turn left after exiting the station and it's a short walk. I'm already thinking about staying here again if I come for Ayumi Hamasaki's New Year's Eve concert. The hotel I stayed at in Akasaka the previous two days was also close, but there was no subway service after the concert ended. The Yamanote Line, however, runs all night during New Year's Eve. Upon check-in, I also received a welcome drink voucher for a complimentary beverage at the second-floor cafe, which had a good variety of options. Overall, I'd say the hotel offers great value for money.

Transportation:
Right outside the hotel, to the left, is the Shijo Horikawa bus stop, and Omiya Station is also nearby, with direct train access to Arashiyama (though I haven't taken it yet). Getting around anywhere is super convenient.
When I first arrived from Kyoto Station, there was a direct bus, which was very convenient.

Accommodation:
When I booked, single rooms were no longer available, so I had to book a double room, but the price was still very reasonable compared to nearby options. Having a double room all to myself was really comfortable! The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, no bathtub, but the showerhead was fantastic! Coming back every day for a hot shower was so relaxing!!
Just a few steps to the right of the hotel is a 7-Eleven. Since I was traveling from Kyoto to Tokyo, I used 7-Eleven for luggage shipping as the hotel doesn't offer that service, though they do provide luggage storage.

You don't need to bring slippers or toiletries; the hotel provides them, and they are all quite good.

There's also a Life supermarket nearby. I went once, and it was quite busy with a good selection of items to buy. There are also plenty of dining options.

The hotel's hygiene and environment are very new. I stayed for 4 nights and only asked for the trash to be changed; the bedsheets weren't changed.

My sleep quality is pretty good, so I didn't find the street noise to be an issue.

I guess there's not much more to write. Just looking at the room size, environment, and service attitude, I would definitely choose this place again.

Tokyo hotel rooms are typically small, and this one felt a bit dated. The upside is its excellent location, very close to Mejiro Station on the Yamanote Line, which makes getting to Ikebukuro super convenient. They offer complimentary skincare products, but surprisingly, no free bottled water unless you sign up for their membership. It was just a quick overnight stay.

Hotel staff are friendly & helpful. Most of them can speak English smoothly. Great location as nearby train station.

Pros: Very close to Mejiro Station on the Yamanote Line, a convenience store right next to the hotel, and a reasonable price. The front desk staff provided excellent standard Japanese service.
Cons: The room was small, and the decor felt a bit dated, so some of the facilities were old. There were some stubborn stains that couldn't be removed. The breakfast selection was very limited and not particularly tasty.

Convenient location, quiet area. Peaceful after hectic tokyo travel days.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at in all my trips to Tokyo. The front desk service is excellent, the room is clean, quiet, and smells lovely. It has an iron and a mini-fridge, and it's very close to Mejiro Station. In short, everything was perfect. (The facial masks you can grab at the front desk are great, and they also provide a full set of Sekkisei skincare products!)

The hotel located at a nice quiet street with 4 mins walking distance from Mejiro train station which is one station away from Shinjuku. Very convenient location and the hotel staffs are excellent friendly people. They are always smiling. The hotel room is big enough to open 2 luggages. There is laundry room as well. I would love to stay here again in my next Tokyo trip!
