Super Hotel Tokyo Otsuka in Tokyo

We booked this hotel for 4 nights through their website and contacted them beforehand to confirm the kids policy. We were told that children under 6 stay for free. However, upon arrival, we were informed that kids under 6 are counted as adults and must pay.

After a long flight, this was very tiring and unexpected. The manager explained that this hotel does not allow kids under 6 to stay for free and claimed they did not recognize the email address, even though it came from their own company domain.

In the end, they offered a solution by asking us to pay a bit extra and move to a triple room, which was not listed on the website. Since it was almost midnight, we accepted. We appreciated their effort to minimize the additional charge. The triple room turned out to be more spacious and conveniently located near the laundry room.

The hotel also offers free skincare amenities and free breakfast, which were reasons we chose this hotel. I’ve attached a photo of the hotel’s email address in case anyone wants to contact them directly.

The hotel is very close to Otsuka Station, with two large supermarkets and a discount store nearby. There are many cafes and restaurants to choose from. It's quiet despite being in a bustling area. The hotel offers a free breakfast every morning from 6:30 to 8:30, with a wide variety of Chinese and Western dishes: miso soup, corn soup, borscht, cream of mushroom soup, natto, beef bowl, tamagoyaki, grilled fish, tofu, vegetables, ochazuke (rice with tea), and delicious coffee, tea, and various beverages! There is also a free bar in the evening. Check-in is done with a code provided by the front desk. The room is fully equipped with clothes hangers, a kettle, a refrigerator, a multi-purpose adapter, and non-disposable slippers. The bed, blankets, and pillows are clean and comfortable, and the front desk has a variety of pillows to choose from. I especially want to praise the blackout curtains; they look like a thin, horizontally stretching curtain, but they block out the light exceptionally well, allowing us to sleep soundly until dawn every night. We booked a super room with bunk beds. The upper bunk mattress was a bit narrow, making it a little cramped for men, but the lower bunk could definitely sleep two adults. However, the room space is limited, so it might be inconvenient for three people to move around and pack their luggage. Daily housekeeping is available, and the front desk offers a full range of disposable toiletries free of charge, which you can choose as needed. The service is excellent. There's a large supermarket in the basement of Otsuka Station, and various general stores and bakeries on the ground floor, making it a great place to shop. There are small plazas in front of and behind the station, and I often stop at the convenience store to buy a beer and sit and enjoy it. Sometimes the Arakawa tram passes by, giving me a truly peaceful feeling! It's just one stop from the JR line to Ikebukuro, making shopping convenient. There's an Otsuka Memorial Hot Spring nearby, and a little further away, there's the even more relaxing Sugamo Hot Spring. A 550 yen soak in a public bath is definitely the ultimate daily indulgence. In short, this is a hotel well worth staying at.

The waiter speaks fluent English. The door is accessed by entering a digital password. No room card is provided. Don't be careless about the password paper. The hotel facilities are very new. The hotel route feels like MUJI FEEL. The breakfast is delicious

Convenient location, all toiletries provided, quiet but bustling, not too far from major tourist attractions, comfortable bed, only one to two-person room is a bit small, for me living alone, it may be just right

Location: Less than 5 minutes walk from the station. There are convenience stores nearby. Supermarket is just across the street.

Room: Standard Japanese room. Bathtub is small, better to go to the hot-spring. No room key, only password which is very convenient. You can choose your preferred pillow, interesting!

Service: Great service.

Breakfast: It’s free! Many options! Also welcome drink and cocktail bar during evening time.

Overall, we enjoyed the time here.
When checking out, one person is only allowed to store one piece luggage in the hotel.

The location is very convenient. It takes about 5-10 minutes to walk from Otsuka Station. Now the hotel does not provide water. It is quite convenient to buy it at the supermarket opposite or a nearby convenience store~
