It’s a Toyoko inn so it’s pretty standard across all its hotels. The room was slightly bigger so there was ample space. An incident occurred however. When I requested for my luggage at 2.30pm the lady at the counter was terribly curt. I asked her if I should get my keycard at 3pm and she just gave me the card. I thought it meant I could go up so I did. I had unloaded all my things and someone started banging on the door. The manager had come at 2.45pm to say that check in was at 3pm and I couldn’t be there. Then she said I had to pay 1000yen for early check in but very loudly. So I said ok I would pay and she asked like again and again that I would pay.
I mean i understand that the language difficulty might have made this comms more challenging but I agreed quite readily to pay. There was no need to overreact. I felt a bit harassed.

The other cleanliness was fine, but the smoking room had no ventilation at all, so I thought it was a smoking booth as soon as I entered. The service was good. They were friendly.

This hotel is nice, I really like it.
Unlike other hotels, it has an extra large mirror on the table 🪞, so you can sit and do your makeup, haha.
It's a ten-minute walk from Yokohama Chinatown, and there are plenty of izakayas (Japanese pubs) nearby.

All Toyoko hotels are pretty much the same, and this one really didn't have much to offer for breakfast, even though it's located near Yokohama Park.

Close to cruise terminal.
Free breakfast was interesting but everyone else thought rice and dimsim was normal.
Extremely great full that was able to check in at 1am in the morning.

Excellent value, clean room, terrific breakfast. 10 minutes by foot from cruise port. Can check in only between 4pm and 10pm.
