Sea Style Resort Ocean in Karatsu

This accommodation is in a prime location, right on the oceanfront. While the overall facilities are somewhat dated, they're relatively clean and there were no major inconveniences. This is a place I'd definitely visit during the summer season.

Although it's unmanned, the service isn't particularly inconvenient.
I also appreciate the free use of the kitchen and washing machine.

And I can hear the waves while I sleep.

Book when the room price is lower, the price/performance ratio is super high. The store is directly facing the seaside, with beautiful sea views, and is also close to the historical windbreak pine forest of Niji no Matsubara. The interior decoration is simple and tidy. The public activity area can be used for cooking, laundry, and clothes drying rods. The waiters are very friendly. A small hotel that is comfortable to stay in all the time.

Near a convenience store. We arrived on a Saturday night and not a lot of stores were open. Many local izakayas in the area though, and the locals will guide you around as much as possible. As the hotel is right by the ocean, we could enjoy our morning walk after sunrise in the sun, sand and PINE TREES. Best part of the hotel was probably the bath salts, jacuzzi, soft and big bed, and that you could hear the waves crashing on the shore at night and when waking up too. No need to check out as they use an automated lock system for each room. It has very miminalist decor so it may look unwelcoming but it was alright for us.

Good accommodation with nice sea breezes, rent is cheap, with free parking, would be perfect if they’ve got a elevator.

Nice quiet little spot. Not so many tourists around. Right on the beach. There's also freebies such as the cold drinks in the fridge and a cup of noodles.

A nice and peaceful resort in Winter. In Summer it must be packed I guess.
For your convenience, rent a car is recommended. Try to explore Karatsu town. On the way between to hotel and town, there are many shops and restaurants. A cheap sushi shop near by Mr.Max is a good idea for your wallet.
The room is big, clean and comfortable bed. It comes with a microwave, kettle, and bath tub. Some stored of free instant coffee&tea, a cup of ramen and a bag of bath powder.
The only down side of this hotel is no elevator. Once you arrive and see no one at reception, just hang up the phone (no need to dial) and say your name. There will be a Japanese lady come out.
She may not speak English well but you can understand what she will try to explain.
Check out is more than easy, you just drop the key at reception.
