VIVA Hotel in Bishkek

The hotel is close to Osh Bazaar, but apart from that, the location is not in a particularly pleasant or comfortable area. The Wi-Fi barely works in the rooms, which was quite frustrating. Considering the price, I don’t think it offers good value for money. Unless you have no other option, I would not recommend staying here. Definitely not a place that lived up to what I paid for. A

A badly managed place. Ridiculously overpriced.
I have no problem with the concept of a shared bathroom; but having just 1 toilet and 1 shower for so many rooms is ridiculous. The toilet was not even maintained or cleaned regularly.
Also, the shower is badly designed: it leaks onto the floor and there is no drainage, so you sometimes have to step in a puddle of water each time you enter the shower room.
There is a water dispenser in the corridor left to run dry, so there was no drinking water at night.
Basically the hotel is badly run, the facilities are terrible. And to make matters worse, the staff at reception are unfriendly, unwelcoming, and can't even return a simple smile or apologise for any inconvenience. They make it feel like their guests are a nuisance 🙄

I booked this hotel through Agoda because it showed a 12 PM check-in and 2 PM check-out, which was the main reason I chose it. However, when I arrived, the receptionist (who was quite unwelcoming) told me their actual policy is check-in at 2 PM and check-out at 12 PM. This meant I and other guests had to wait, yet strangely someone else arrived around 1:40 PM and was allowed to check in early, which was frustrating and inconsistent.

Also I book for mountain view but look through my window it brick wall but they right I have a picture frame above my head it mountain view.

This is something to keep in mind before booking, as the information online is misleading.

That said, the room itself was nice, clean, and comfortable. The cleaner was very polite honestly, much more welcoming than the receptionist. I originally planned to stay for 6 nights but only booked 2 nights first to test it, which turned out to be a good decision.

Overall, it’s not a bad place: great price and good location, but service and communication need improvement.

Stayed for 2 nights. Firstly, the grumpy old female worker really needs to go and get help. She chased me into the building at 7am shouting, screaming down the corridor to stop me from using the toilet before I checked in. I’d told her I’ve just come from a flight and wanted to sit for a while, charge phone, before my tour picked me up. I didn’t even ask to check in early. Even telling her this, her reaction was as if I was ruining her life already. I even left my phone and belongings in her sight to not be weird. She screamed after me and shooed me outside like I was a dog 😂. How can I, the guest, have to tell YOU to be quiet since people are sleeping at 7am and you’re screaming down the corridor and waking everybody up???
Check the reviews well and you’ll see others have complained about her too. She really is the building scarecrow. Lucky I never saw her again after that morning. Seeing her again would ruin my day completely. The other 2 male workers I met weren’t very nice either. Anyways, when I checked in, instead of $52, they tried to charge me $90. ???
The room was okay, not that clean. It was warm and the bed was somewhat comfy. Hairs in the room. Slight off smell in bathroom. Area is dumpy, but a 15min walk and you’re towards the centre of the city. Walls thin so you’ll hear conversations and stomping up and down the corridor.
This place was the cheapest option I found, so overall I would have given a 3 star but that woman was so rude it’s hard to give anything above 2.
