Rich Hotel in Bishkek

This was the final hotel on our tour of the 5 Stans and proved to be the only one that was substandard. Centrally located, but hidden off a main road, the hotel is dark upon entry and the rooms are even more so. They are well equipped with fridge, air-conditioning, safe and tv, but the first two in particular gave off so much noise they had to be switched off. Despite being there for 2 days, there was no sign of any cleaning between and the general environment was in need of a clean up. The biggest disappointment was reserved for the breakfast though. Here there was limited choice and what there was seemed to be all sugary cakes and cereals - a real let down.

Dirty, smelled like cigarettes in my room; the bedsheet had cigarette burns on them.
Electrical outlets not convenient. There were piles of construction materials on either side of my room door in the hallway.
The bedcovers and curtains were very dark and worn.

1. Room's wifi has been on and off in 5th floor and is barely able to send 1 single email for 3 days we are checked in. The Management didn't do anything about it despite many follow-ups and they seem to not bother at all. We had to use our limited internet data for work even when we are in the hotel.
2. The room looks so old, paint near the door is not even like it was just repainted, sink is not maintained nor cleaned
3. The hair-dryer is old and rusty and gives a loud sound when you turn it on- afraid it will explode in the face.
4. They do not have a lift up from 5th floor, only until 4th floor. I had a 20kg luggage and they put me on 5th floor, with no one to help because the only staff in the Reception is the receptionist herself! Holiday Factory partners with them and they insisted the hotel is a 4-star hotel. Hard to believe them.
