This was the final hotel on our tour of the 5 Stans and proved to be the only one that was substandard. Centrally located, but hidden off a main road, the hotel is dark upon entry and the rooms are even more so. They are well equipped with fridge, air-conditioning, safe and tv, but the first two in particular gave off so much noise they had to be switched off. Despite being there for 2 days, there was no sign of any cleaning between and the general environment was in need of a clean up. The biggest disappointment was reserved for the breakfast though. Here there was limited choice and what there was seemed to be all sugary cakes and cereals - a real let down.

A decent standard hotel. We stayed here for a couple of nights on a tour of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Rooms were clean, reasonably furnished and the hotel is quiet and very well located, only a short walk from Bishkek’s City Centre. Plenty of restaurants nearby too. Breakfast wasn’t the most elaborate but there was plenty, even if eggs had been cooked quite a bit earlier. We enjoyed the pool as somewhere to cool off on a hot day. Staff were all helpful and friendly. A good place to stay.

Nice, friendly hotel with a lovely roof terrace and gym attached. The pool was dry when I was there and it was 90 degrees, so missed having that. Also went for dinner and no sign of it after being told it was swerved from 8-9. Other than that staff friendly and rooms are fine. Good shower. Very soviet feel to the place and maybe needs a bit of updating but near the city and a small shopping centre over the road.

The breakfast is quite good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. You can get a local SIM card from the desk for all of $3 It's not far from things but hardly close. Not much in the immediate area at all. Wifi was patchy. The building is very Soviet era, and not in a good way. Room was cramped. They are doing footpath work in the whole neighbourhood so only gravel uneven paths to get anywhere

The air conditioner in the room is installed so that it blasts directly at the headboards of the beds, although it could have been installed between the beds and the bathroom. It's noisy outside, but this is a city hotel. Slippers, dental kit, a kettle, and tea are provided. The refrigerator in the room worked terribly - it made a terrible noise, like airplanes taking off and landing, and it didn't cool much. I turned it off in the middle of the night because I couldn't sleep. There's a pool - I'm not sure they clean it often, but it's worth a dip in the heat. The bathroom has a curtain, not a shower stall. I thought this was more of a stern, men's hotel. The breakfast was good: several types of pastries, porridge, fruit, and a hot dish. There's another hotel on the same street about 400 meters away - I liked that one better. But for the night, if you don't use the refrigerator, it's fine.

A little but charmingly dated. Rooms are large and have high ceilings. Breakfast is acceptable. The restaurant is surprisingly good. Beers (local) are 2-3 USD for 500 ml. Good value. 2 to 3 USD taxi to centre of town. Staff mostly good. A nice place to stay in Bishkek.
