Crown Beach Hotel Maldives in Thulusdhoo

This place is so dirty , full of dust , spider webs and bad smell . Also in a bathroom there is a terrible smell. Furniture in the room was collapsing. We asked for extra baby bed and kids bed ( this is what we booked ) there was no space for any of this in the original room . After complaining we got bigger room which was also dirty and filthy , we stayed 2 night until we saw cockroaches and then we left. Beach in front of the hotel ( this are just rooms on the beach) is very dirty which is sad since it has a huge potential. Breakfast was also very basic .
It seems like hotel is using better pictures online . Another point is that this hotel also goes by name crown beach hotel.

Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with my stay. The room I received was completely different from the photos shown on the Booking.com listing. The description mentioned a room with a balcony, but in reality they showed me a tiny enclosed space with four walls that smelled of mold/rotting – this was not a real balcony.

The room was dirty, smelled strongly of cigarettes, and there were insects/ants crawling on the floor. Above the bed there was a ceiling fan covered in thick dust. Additionally, there was a constant loud noise coming from a technical/storage room (probably a boiler), day and night, which made it impossible to sleep.

I reported the issue at reception and requested a refund, but they refused to help and told me to contact Booking.com.

It seems the property is misleading guests by using photos of better rooms online while providing much lower-standard rooms in reality. I definitely do not recommend this place.

Awful place - don't go, it's basically a scam! They call it a hotel but there is no hotel to speak of.. No proper reception, no facilities, no restaurant.. It's as basic as they come... It's a random building with a few rooms that they rent. More worryingly, there is NO BEACH. The beach has been completely eroded. No beach, no sand, no sea, no umbrellas... The photos are clearly fake. The area around the property is an utter dump, with plastic, cans, trash, broken sunbeds and an abandoned building site... It's really seriously horrible. It's the ABSOLUTE WORST property on the entire island. The rooms are really really basic, with almost no furniture, plastic chairs and bathrooms that is not even fit for a camping site. The rooms were not cleaned once in six nights. The beds were not made once. Shocking place. Breakfast is also poor, and the 3 or 4 breakfast tables are FILTHY, and all the chairs are half broken. I suppose most of the positive reviews are fake? There is no positive about the Crown Beach Hotel.... there is no Hotel, and no beach.... Just do not go, I have been there and it has ruined our holiday. The lesson learned of Dhiffushi is that there's LOTS of really nice Hotels that sell for a much lower price, however we got scammed by their (obviously fake) photos and reviews and ended up in this dump.

Crown Beach Hotel Maldives stole my swimsuit. We stayed I. This hotel one night. I took off my swimsuit and put on the bedsheet in the room before I took a shower . After taking the boat and arrived at Male I realized I forgot to pack my swimsuit. We called manager Vidad he dared to say he did not find my swimsuit in the room . Terrible!!! They would rather damage their reputation instead of returning my swimsuit. Avoid this hotel if you can. Judy McReynolds
