Hotel Lure is a stunning boutique gem that perfectly blends contemporary style with the original architecture of its charming village surroundings. It sits in a beautifully peaceful area, with a handful of excellent bars and restaurants just a short stroll away. The only sound to disturb the tranquillity is the occasional chime of the nearby church clock tower — a reminder of just how wonderfully quiet and serene this location truly is. We have high standards when it comes to hotels and typically only settle for five-star, so choosing Lure was a deliberate decision — and one we are absolutely delighted we made. We did sample what is considered the top hotel in Malta, but left feeling underwhelmed by its dated feel. Lure, by contrast, felt fresh, stylish, and genuinely special. We stayed in room 209, a street-facing room complete with a private jacuzzi on the balcony and a lovely view — and we couldn’t fault a single thing. The room was a great size, immaculately maintained, and kept spotlessly clean by the most cheerful and attentive chambermaid you could hope for. The staff's warmth truly sets this hotel apart. A special mention must go to Rabi on reception, who went above and beyond at every turn to make sure our stay was nothing short of perfect — an absolute credit to the hotel. In fact, all staff were great, i just didn't capture their names. The Manager even managed a game of chess with my wife :-) The rooftop pool is a real highlight — a gorgeous space with sun loungers, a bar, and the kind of view that makes you want to linger all day. One floor down, you’ll find the spa, which looks absolutely inviting. We sadly didn’t get to use it during our three nights, as we were busy exploring the island, but it is firmly on the list for next time. Breakfast deserves a special mention — it was simply outstanding. Generous, fresh, and perfectly judged — exactly what you need to fuel a day of sightseeing. We also dined at the hotel restaurant one evening and were thoroughly impressed; the food was delicious and the atmosphere spot on. The hotel is located in the north of Malta, about a 25–30-minute taxi ride from Valletta — though honestly, getting out of Valletta was no hardship. For the real highlights of Malta, head to Gozo and Mdina — both are absolutely unmissable. For getting around, Bolt is the way to go. So would we return to the Hotel, yes we would and that's not something we say lightly. Next time we will experience the beach and relax a bit more as we were racing about trying to get in as much as possible.

Me and my partner wanted a relaxed weekend break with a difference. We searched for a nice, quiet small hotel and we found it!! Everything was perfect...the room, the breakfast, the indoorpool and all people working there especially the kind house keeper. We will return for sure!!

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in! The welcome we had has to be one of the most memorable too, the hospitality is second to none. Rooms spacious, spotless and modern. Most importantly quiet and the whole experience feels very personal. Roof terrace perfect and we enjoyed it every evening, still getting the sun in October.
What sets this hotel apart though is the staff. So kind, generous with their time and thoughtful. Great value for money all round too. Only suggestion would be to try and squeeze a gym in downstairs!
We will definitely Italy be back.

From the moment we arrived and were warmly welcomed by Malcolm, we knew we’d found somewhere special. The hotel is beautiful, location fantastic and the staff are exceptional. Breakfast was amazing (big thanks to Rabi & Oumaima for wonderful attentive service) as were evening meals (dined there three times) - huge thanks to chef and waitress Cheryl for consistently wonderful food and service. Location is great… Mellieha is a calm respite from the more busy capital, but easy to reach anywhere (by bus or Bolt). Garrett was also super charming and helpful with lots of tips to maximise our stay. Looking forward to returning already. Congrats all, your Michelin key is well deserved.

I always use Tripadvisor when finding a place to stay & all of the reviews helped me to pick the Lure Hotel for our recent stay and it lived up to everything I had read! Stayed at the Lure Hotel in October, it was everything you could wish for. Its location was excellent. Such a quaint hotel & setting. Gareth the owner went above and beyond looking after us. The food was outstanding, the breakfast freshly cooked to order and/or the continental options on a three tier plate was so delicious. We also choose to eat at the hotel four evenings as nothing else compared to the quality & service. We really hope to return again in the future.. Thanks Gareth & all the team

The breakfast was another highlight, offering a fantastic selection of fresh, high-quality options — all beautifully presented. The spa and pool area provided a serene escape; everything was spotless, and the ambiance was incredibly soothing. Garrett and Stephanie Zerafa are the perfect proprietors of The Lure Hotel and Spa. Attentive to detail and always available for recommendations and questions. Overall, The Lure exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s the perfect place for anyone seeking comfort, style, and top-tier service in one of Malta’s most picturesque locations.

Comfortable cozy and relaxing weekend with good service. The only issue we had is that we needed to ask for house keeping to re do couple of things in our room and they vere very fast and professional about it. Location wise the hotel is close to many restaurants. Breakfast was really good.

The Accommodation was Excellent, very clean and spacious. The Food served both at Breakfast & Dinner was of the highest quality. We also enjoyed the very relaxing Spa area. Also a big thank you to every member of Staff who were extremely helpful and professional.

This hotel and its staff were fabulous. The rooms are very clean, big, and nice. The terrace with hot tub overlooking the church square was a highlight of our trip. Our best meal the entire trip was at the hotel restaurant. I ended up getting sick with a virus half way through our stay. The staff was very helpful in finding a doctor and accommodating.
