Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Malta Golden Sands in Mellieha

We had a most remarkable experience at Radisson Blu Golden Bay over the weekend. The service, the comfort, the luxury, it was absolutely incredible.
From the moment we checked in, we were treated to a VIP experience. The lovely receptionist, Dawn, informed us that we had been upgraded. The room ended up being sea view, corner suite with a whole living area and fully equipped kitchen and dining room as well! A little box of welcome chocolates with a card signed by the hotel manager was the absolute cherry on the cake. As a belated Christmas, Valentine's Day and anniversary rolled into one, this was a super romantic gesture.
The room was clean, comfortable and the view was breathtaking. The bathroom had 2 sinks, which we loved, and a rainfall shower with strong hot water pressure. There were bathrobes, slippers and you can always ask for extras of anything. There was room service but we went to the restaurant instead. The hotel has an Italian, an Indian, a buffet style restaurant and a lounge bar. The pizzas we ordered at the Italian restaurant was really good.
For breakfast, there is a massive buffet with hot and cold foods, savoury dishes, fresh fruits and pastries/cakes. We even had mimosa cocktails! On one of our mornings, we were attending an event, so the hotel kindly packed a breakfast for us to take away. They generously gave us sandwiches, yogurts, drinks, cereal bars and lots of fresh fruits.
The hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool, we went to both but it was very cold outside for this time of the year. There was also a jacuzzi and sauna. The indoor pool is adults only from 1pm to 4pm. There is a 24 hours gym which was well equipped, and a games room for the youngsters.
As the hotel is located in a secluded corner of the island, they have also got a supermarket to buy water, alcohol, snacks, sunscreen and pool accessories etc. It was very well stocked.
Honestly, this was a top-rated hotel experience for us, and we were really sad at check-out, we didn't want to leave! Definitely recommend, and we dream of returning one day.

The hotel is perched on a cliff overlooking Golden Bay. It's quite a distance from the city. The value for money is excellent, though the food is pretty average.

We had a wonderful family stay at the Radisson Blu Golden Sands in Malta. The facilities are of a very high standard and everything is kept immaculate, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. What stood out most was the customer service — every staff member was welcoming and attentive. A special mention goes to Mr. Chetan in Reception, whose warmth and efficiency made us feel truly looked after. We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel.

Great experience overall.
The only thing that needs improvement is the WiFi.
Other than that, it’s a very good place. Spacious rooms with amazing views from the balcony. Indoor and outdoor Swimming pools are nice.
The private beach is also well maintained. It could get crowded so advisable to go early to get a good spot.
Breakfast is also good. Staff is helpful and kind.

We stayed here for a week and I have to say it was superb. Excellent staff who are always polite, professional and willing to help. Lots of bars and restaurants serving a variety of foods At excellent standards. 3 great pools including an adult only one. Superb rooms that are well maintained. We were upgraded to a suite which was immaculate. Great location with a private beach to boot. A very relaxing holiday in a great hotel and location.

Very welcoming staff, food is delicious, hotel is very clean and rooms are comfortable and well equiped. We even received an upgrade when booking through their application and they gave us a cake when we told them it was our anniversary ❤️ will definitely visit again!

I've lost count of the number of weekends we have spent at the Radisson Blu throughout the years. We have never left disappointed. This is a beautiful hotel with large generous rooms set in truly beautiful surroundings. Imagine waking up in the morning to see the crystalline turquoise blue sea lapping onto the red sand of Golden Bay, a truly beautiful beach. The staff are very attentive and helpful. A special mention to Henri, the gentleman who will greet you in the morning on your way to their wonderful breakfast.
This time round we were a big group, therefore we stayed in the Galaxy Suite. This suite has 4 double bedrooms all with ensuite facilities a large beautiful living area with a fully equipped kitchen and a sprawling large terrace with breathtaking views and a hot tub! This Suite surpassed all expectations and we are already planning our next stay there!

Great location, food and rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Many things to do in the hotel, but expect to pay for any move. Even game room is charged.

Improvements to be done in cleaning of wet sauna and indoor pool. Every time I went to both they were not clean as you would expect for a hotel like this.
