“Point de Vue is in a fantastic location just outside the gates of Mdina and close to the attractions in Rabat. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The rooftop offers a wonderful view. Its Asian restaurant serves delicious, impressive food. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.”

We have stayed at Point De Vue guesthouse for part our annual holiday to Malta and Gozo over many years. It’s a well run, friendly, family owned business offering good service and value. Feels for us like a second home. The location is perfect for visiting the Silent City, Rabat and pretty much anywhere around Malta. There is a bus stop just outside and another further up the road with regular buses that will get you to Valletta, Sliema, the airport and more. Breakfast is always fab and the staff are really friendly. Nothing seems too much trouble.

We are about to leave Point de Vue, following a ten night stay. For us, this guesthouse was just perfect. The situation is amazing, so convenient for Rabat and beautiful Mdina. Also, easy access to the rest of the island. The guesthouse is just the kind of accommodation we seek. Comfortable, friendly and characterful. We stayed in two rooms, front and back. We preferred our back-facing room, with Maltese balcony and views over the countryside. It had a faded elegance, with its lovely tiled floor and turquoise chandelier. Without exception, the staff were welcoming, friendly and kind. What a treat. We ate a hearty breakfast each morning, with plenty of flexible choice. Evening meals are huge and tasty. The next door South East Asian restaurant has a really good menu, with delicious food. So, a really good choice if you wish to avoid huge, modern and faceless hotels. Just perfect for us, very experienced travellers.

The hotel was very popular, and the breakfast was great – freshly baked bread and fried eggs, very fragrant and delicious. The staff were also very friendly! It's right next to tourist attractions, which is really great!

Great location for Rabat and Mdina. A historical hotel with some great features. It is a one star hotel but punches above its weight. The team are friendly and accommodating and the food and drinks are excellent value for money, as is the accommodation. Highly recommended for the budget conscious traveller looking for a genuine Maltese experience.

Delicious pasta. Home made and really tasty meals, good value too. We sat in the bar area as we didn’t realise there was a restaurant further into the building, which wouid have been a mixed setting. Really nice meal if you’re really hungry as portion size is generous.

This hotel is quite old, frequented by the local population and has character. It is in a great location to explore the Mdina and Rabat. The windows of the dining room look out onto a beautiful vista in the valley below.Unfortunately, our room did not have a view or much natural light coming through the shuttered window. Our updated room was small with a double bed and single bed, so not a lot of room for two, but the shower was new and everything was clean. The room had a kettle available to make coffee and tea.
The proprietors were friendly and helpful when approached and the breakfast options were varied, delicious and our young man who served us made the best cappuccino so far on our trip! All things considered, our stay was quite pleasant at Point de Vue.

Completely endorse all recent reviews, except for Dreamer60224, who must have been really unlucky. My wife tested the hot water on arrival: it was running cold, but that turned out to because of a block in the system, as the room hadn't been used for a little while. This was put right by the hotel's resident handyman while we had dinner, and we had lovely hot baths afterwards. He and all the rest of the staff and management were friendly and efficient without exception. The breakfast was wonderful, and so was the view from our room (no. 12): green fields were a treat to the eye, coming from England in February.
