We booked for the St John's but upon arrival we were kindly told we had been upgraded so I guess this review is for the Roselli.
The Roselli is a 5 stars and therefore a little more expensive, however, if you can afford it I would absolutely recommend to stay there.
From arrival you are treated like royalty, the staff does everything in their power to make you feel premium. We got a room with the in-room sauna and I must say it was a joy.
Breakfast was incredible, the location of this hotel (and the St John's) could not be better so either way you will be in very premium location in Valetta in the middle of everything.
All in al, both hotels are absolutely worth it.

Had an absolutely amazing time at the ax st John Valletta Malta .staff very helpful and friendly..I would definitely go back and stay again.also in the heart of Valletta .so close to everything I needed ..

Second time here.Clean comfortable room,decent bed and shower.Breakfast is at the Rosseli 2 minutes walk which was excellent.We were at the back of the hotel and all was quiet.Would recommend.

What a fantastic boutique hotel annexed to the stunning Rosalli hotel. Staff were superb, the rooms exceptional and more importantly "no black mould around the shower or sink". Lovely large thick soft towels which does make a difference.
The breakfast was brilliant and the coffee delicious. We are staying there again on a regular basis as it was that good.

We stayed for 3 nights at St John’s. We were very early for check in but that was no problem. We were made to feel very welcome and offered a glass of fizz and a chat with Richard who was very helpful explaining the local sites and attractions. Jennifer was on reception who was equally welcoming and very helpful. The room was on the top floor at the rear of the building. Very quiet and clean. Breakfast was at the main hotel a couple of doors down. Really lovely continental breakfast with lots of extras and options to have a cooked breakfast at extra cost. Food was fresh and lots of choice. Service was excellent. The location was fantastic. Central to all the sites and in walking distance of most things. Valletta is such a beautiful city. We really enjoyed our mini break. A few things to mention that could be improved on. The bed was very hard and we didn’t sleep as well as we should have. Also, we would expect bottled water to be supplied daily in the mini fridge but instead we got a jug of water. Which we didn’t drink. When we asked for bottled water at reception this wasn’t an issue and we were given some. But it would be much better just to supply them daily on the room clean. Overall a very positive experience excellent service and staff.

The location is in the center of the old city, convenient for travel, and the room is nice. The only trouble is that it is an affiliated hotel with a hotel not far away, and when checking in, you have to go to that hotel to register, and then come back to this hotel to check in, which is a bit inconvenient.

The hotel is in the center of Valletta. The service is very good, but the room is relatively small. There is a food street downstairs. The living functions are good, but it is a bit noisy at night.

Very good for an ideal summer vacation. A beautiful island and fresh air
