As a background, we are not tourists but “locals” living in Mauritius. I had the opportunity recently to meet a Thai lady who is also in a similar situation as in she is married to a local. This place is not a hotel, it's a warm welcoming home. Location: the place is very private and peaceful. It's a nice location to visit the whole north east coast. Food: the food is cooked with love, with a perfect fusion of Mauritian and Thai cuisine. Staff: the family that owns this place has poured all their heart into it! Overall, we had a wonderful time. We will be back.

Unique environment, more homely atmosphere, food and service good while the hall for social functione very cozy. Mauritians from lower to upper layers of society showed quite appreciation for the venue food and specific location.

Room size, staff, breakfast, pool.

The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was very comfortable. They go out of their way to make sure your stay is the best it can be!

Lovely grounds around the pool and a comfortable room. Lights left on over night meant an eye mask was needed to sleep well as curtains did not block out light. Staff friendly Food OK but a bit disorganised. Perhaps an English to French mis translation? Good location if you have a car No access to beach from hotel. Good pizza restaurant 15 min walk away

We stayed at Villa Anakao in August and had a truly wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. A very nice villa located south of Port Louis. Property was very nice, veranda overlooking pool and sea was super relaxing and staff was excellent!

The hotel is situated right on the Indian Ocean spectacular views. A huge walkable beach. Just be cautious of the paddlers on the beach The staff super friendly bend over backwards for you. The food is tasty

Our experience was ruined by an inconsiderate group of guests (9 in a 4 sleeper) that got out of control and even the guards couldn’t get them to settle down. Both my husband and I were extremely disappointed as we couldn’t get hold of anyone to assist. However, the next morning the friendly staff apologized and the owner phoned us personally apologizing and informed us that the guests will be evicted...

Amazing family escape with clear shallow waters for swimming and snorkelling especially for kids. Buffet and drinks all in were a good treat. Highly recommend the island walk and taking time facing the crushing waves.

'Very helpful host, in an older style auberge.. Handy to the airport. Host organised a hire car for us at a reasonable rate. General note: This is a small island, you could stay anywhere & still only be a max of 2 hour drive from anywhere else! Main roads are good & easy to navigate with Google map, but some village lanes are incorrect.

Convenient location if you need to be near the airport. There is a bus station nearby: bus number 10 costs 30 rupees and takes you directy to the airport, but it only runs during the day, other time — taxi, which you can negotiate for around 15 euros/dollars. Room had everything I needed and was comfortable. I slept super well. The owner was also super friendly. He even woke up at like 5:30am to make sure I had coffee before my flight. Such an awesome guy.

Our family getaway at Colibri Beach House was simply fantastic! 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 The cleanliness and spaciousness of the place made it feel like a true home away from home. 🌟🏖️ We loved that all the kitchen equipment and BBQ set we needed was readily available, making mealtime a breeze. Really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are very neat. The aircon really was great to have on those hot days. The view was amazing. If visiting Mauritius, I very much recommend La Maison Soleil. All the positive reviews are indeed true. I'd ignore any review less than 4 stars. Lovely owner, place and location. We really got lucky finding La Maison Soleil with our last 2 days on the island.

A wonderful accomodation in Trou d'Eau Douce, with a lounging spot by the pool. The host is amazing and her dogs are the sweetest!

Beautiful place with swimming pool

La Maison Soleil is a wonderful place. The landlord is a lovely, well careing woman. The rooms are clean and lovingly furnished. The whole place and the garden is wonderful and peaceful. The Breakfast (optional) tastes very good. The prices for the rooms are very reasonable. Its a Great Place.

It is one awesome place to stay..you will never get a feel that you are staying in hotel.. It's like home.. The staffs n services was awesome n beyond expectation... I went there for my vaccation , had a great time over there...infact I don't want to move out of my room...more than comfortable and happy stay..I would love to go again only to stay in Auberge le rajah..

A good place if you are looking for something cheap. It's way far from the tourist destinations, but I was on a business trip and it was just perfect. The reception is open 9am - 5 pm only, this may give you some trouble. But it gets compensated by the awesome service by the staff. All in all a perfect place for a small stay

If you're looking for a lively party hotspot all-inclusive resort, then this hotel is not for you. If you are into lazy sunsets by the beach or in the infinity pool, delicious breakfasts and real Maurice experience then may I tempt you into trying this establishment? It's 5 minutes walk to the Pereybere Public Beach (see my comments on Pereybere). It's lobby is open to the elements with a koi pond...

If you looking for an accomodation where you can be private, where you can calm down and have a nice view at the sea, this place is ideal. We have stayed there for our honeymoon and we absolutely enjoyed it! This Hotel only offers breakfast, but for us this was exactly what we wanted. This makes you try all the nice restaurants around the hotel :)

This is a wonderful cheap and cheerful weekend getaway around the nicest beach in the north. The location is excellent for restaurants, and winners is crawling distance. We did not stay in the hotel but went for the restaurant and it is definitely worth it. The food is amazing, probably the best food we had on the island. We had the palm tree salad, the marlin tartare and the 7 Cari. It was really tasty and beautiful. The terrace is also really pleasant and peaceful and the staff very nice.

On top of the restaurant found in a vintage house, this place offers a few small chalets where you can spend the night. Everything is basic but it's an ideal place if you want to be far from the daily hustles and noise. This place is so serene that you can really enjoy the huming of birds around!

We had a one stay with the half board package . Fantastic place to stay. The stuff is very nice and helpful. We had the deluxe double room with sea view and it's amazing. Beautiful accommodation in Mauritius, very friendly and helpful staff here, the beach near by is absolutely perfect and usually quite quiet, I recommend this location, it had adequate facilities for our stay and the room was spacious and clean. It’s a nice friendly place, clean rooms and views of the ocean from the balconies. I would say the bed was a bit creaky and the mattress somewhat lumpy and it would have been nice to have a coffee maker of some sort in the kitchen. Otherwise a nice relaxing place.

Whilst location of hotel was good, the rooms are very basic and a bit shubby. Breakfast was terrible, basically nothing to eat, had to go out for some food. It's at a good quiet location, walking distance to the Waterfront, Central market and anywhere else. The rooms are basic but comfortable if you're in town for business or up and about. They could improve on the meals, particularly breakfast, what with all the local food options and fruits available. Staff are pleasant and helpful.

Nice hotel in the city centre. Walking distance to all the business in Port Louis. Do not expect luxury treatments or sandy shore.. you are not paying for it! Clean spacy rooms with free WiFi.
