Where to stay with kids in Mauritius

The bed was so comfortable that we didn't want to get up in the morning. The absolute highlight, however, is the staff. The entire team is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always eager to fulfill every wish

We only had two nights but enjoyed our stay. We especially loved the big double bath and massive bed and good quality linens. They organised a lovely small birthday cake which was much appreciated

This hotel has lots of potential; they have everything including tennis courts, but it might just need to update/renovate some parts of the main building and hotel rooms (some of the bungalows and villas are new/renovated though)

The staff pays attention to your requests though, and it's not everywhere that they actually pay attention to guest requests. Restaurant food is not bad, a bit $$ I find compared to other little restaurants around

The resort was like a botanical garden and the beach was clean, easily accessed and not too busy. We stayed in a refurbished 3 bedroom villa with pool which was stunning

All staff were so friendly and helpful. Sundowners watching the sunset each evening were fab. I would recommend that you reduce the padel price for guests who have their own rackets and balls which we did

The sandy beaches as well as the heated pools in the gardens provide enough space for everyone to enjoy peaceful moments alone or with your families

A beautiful beach resort with several dining options and very friendly and welcoming staff. The breakfast buffet had a large selection and was located just next to the beach for easy access

We stayed there for 7 days and would have enjoyed staying longer as there were so many different activities and things at the resort. We were there to attend a wedding and it was amazing

Our rooms were perfectly positioned (as per our request through our travel agent) and appointed. Exclusive sun beds just outside our patio, a few steps away from the heated adults only swimming pool

We did not try any treatments at the Spa, just because we were enjoying the sea and pool! A very special mention must go to Premi who took care of us during our stay

A Perfect Family Getaway at Heritage Le Telfair We just spent a wonderful weekend as a family at Heritage Le Telfair, and it truly exceeded all expectations

They have All Inclusive and Half Board options, family section and adults only sections of both the resort and the beach

Ze Paul was always a few moments away with refreshments, and the wonderful team at Coco Hut provided delicious variations on the coconut cocktail! The variety of meal choices were also amazing

Le Cardinal is a small hotel with only 13 rooms. Our room was spacious and the balcony had a lovely sea view. The staff were so friendly and professional. The pool and beach area was nice

We called in for lunch and were welcomed warmly as non residents. Food and service were excellent so good in fact that we booked a dinner for four on the beach for Independence Day

I had the pool to myself most of the time as most people seemed to prefer the beach area. Didn’t use the facilities of the sister hotel but had a look around and used the spa and had a massage which was nice

Tamassa Bel Ombre has the lot! We lucked into a great ground floor room a stones throw room the beach and pool! From arrival to departure we had no issues at all with the Tamassa

The villas have amazing privacy and huge space. The swimming pools are amazing. The food: I love it, a lot of variety as the buffet is split in 4 different section with different cousins. The place is full of activities

Aside from the lobby and pool being somewhat nice, this hotel doesn't have any other particularly outstanding features, and we will definitely not stay here again

Breakfast offers a wide variety: from freshly squeezed juices to desserts, several types of eggs, cheeses, and fish. Overall, everything was simply superb!

The bed was super comfy and the bedding soft and luxurious. Excellent shower and separate bath with high-end toiletries. The various housekeeping staff were lovely, especially the guy who restocked the teas and coffees

This is a lovely hotel right on the beach and a short drive from a busy resort. It was under renovation when we were there which meant the hotel was quiet, but this did not reduce the level of service or amenities

We had to make several phone calls to reception and at one point had four members of staff in the room fixing and sorting things out…. the last thing we wanted after a very long travel day

However, after a good nights sleep and things fixed and in place, we ended up absolutely loving this place. The room had recently been refreshed and was bright, clean and spacious

What can I say, absolutely exceptional! We stayed for 12 nights with our 2 daughters and visited for our 10th year wedding anniversary and Paradis beachcomber made this day very VERY special… The hotel was faultless, the service, food, entertainment were phenomenal

We stayed in another hotel on Le Morne beach before and while that hotel's beach was gorgeous, the beach at Paradis is a step up. The colours of the sea around Paradis are extra beautiful and diverse

Lastly, I do want to mention the amazing kids club at Paradis. Sharon and her team are second to noje. The kids club staff is warm, enthusiastic, loving and engaging

We had the lovely 100 candles dinner one evening and Luciano the waiter was so helpful. Friendly and made the evening so special. Anyime we ever asked for anything it was was always met with the response

We had such an incredible time during our stay! Everything was just perfect from start to finish. The food was absolutely excellent - every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented

There was plenty to do there. Towards the end of the holiday the bathroom goodies weren’t being replaced as much and the towels were slightly rough but that was my only concern

The hotel is nestled in a palm grove, very beautiful! But! There's construction going on nearby, and the pool area is nearby. Our room was right next to the construction, making it uncomfortable and very noisy

Amazingly good for kids with centre and full program. Swimming pool was always dirty on floor and very strict lifeguard despite not actually doing their job

They kept asking about them every single time they saw us and even in the same night they told us when you go back to the room call room service and order what ever you want for your kids without charging us for it I totally appreciate your kindness and great hospitality

Everything literally was amazing and their caring is fabulous, it starts from the manager to the entire staff. My kids got sick, one of them throw up when we were in our dinner and they gave us a huge care of them

Overall, my stay at the Long Beach Hotel was a truly delightful experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway in Mauritius

Our family of ten stayed at this resort for 7nights. We did have problem on day 2 but it was resolved. The staff at the resort are excellent

Facilities at both hotels are excellent gym, water sports, tennis and spa. The beach and adult pool area had lots of sunbeds and space to relax

The hotel is well appointed for walks along the beach and to explore the local area. We played golf during our stay which is included with the hotel, fabulous views, great course amongst the natural surroundings

The restaurant selection is excellent both at Sugar beach and next door at Le Pirouge - the food is quality is outstanding. Sunsets with the DJ and cocktails at the Buda bar were wonderful

We're an Asian couple on our honeymoon in Mauritius. It's a popular accommodation for locals, and we had a wonderful experience. All the staff were friendly, and the hotel had many activities to enjoy.

I had a wonderful stay for a day before a night flight. The check-in team were very helpful, and the room was clean and modern. Whatever their set up is, the rooms are conducive to relax and rest well

Also shuttle service offered to airport and to a beach house with a private beach which was lovely complete with sunbeds and shades. I use IHG a lot for travel and think this is the best I stayed at

The hotel is very close to the airport, only 1 km away. If you don't have luggage, you can even walk there. The service staff are very enthusiastic and the service is very thoughtful.

Location is very convenient for 1st day or last day of stay in Mauritius as it is just 1 km from the airport

I recently stayed at Riu Turquoise Hotel with my family and kids, and we had an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and well taken care of

Before coming here, I had read some of the negative reviews and honestly felt a bit nervous. But my experience at RIU Turquoise was absolutely perfect. I’m a 28-year-old woman and was traveling alone

A great hotel, everything is new and clean, the service is excellent. Everything is included, which is important, as this part of the island has almost no restaurants, cafes, or shops, if any

The grounds are very beautiful and well-maintained, but the beach is windy and not the most convenient, though there are swimming pools. If you go to the right, there are more comfortable areas with beautiful views

The hotel prices remain quite expensive if you do not take all inclusive. A big negative point: there is an open buffet for half board but the other restaurants are only accessible if you pay extra

Sanitation: Very good, your room can be cleaned twice a day, and you will be asked at 7 o'clock in the evening if you want to tidy up the room and send you more water. Environment: This is too cozy to say

Also in the all inclusive there is around 100 different wine to choose included - amazing !!! And above all the service and hospitality of all the team, really 6 star hotel. We will definitely come back

It's just a little cold (it was winter when I went there). The spa is good and worth experiencing. I didn't try golf and shooting. It's a pity that there is no snorkeling activity

Came with the family for UK half term to get some winter sun and we all loved the place! Great boutique hotel - simple but perfect room for the 5 of us to stay in - lovely grounds and pool - and right on its own beach with sun loungers and sun sofas overlooking the crystal clear waters

The friendly a-la-carte restaurant by the pool was nice enough but the menu too limited in terms of choice and variation for us on B&B for a full week

The watersports which are offered are slightly disappointing as they only had two of each thing and the tide was too low to use pedalos or hard plastic kayaks the whole time we were there - I struggle to believe it ever gets much higher

Absolutely stunning, beautiful resort, staff friendly and always helpfull, Jessica our housekeeper left us a very nice note and made us feel special, everyday we were excited to see our new towels animal on our beds

Overall a nice hotel with a nice beach. My wife did get sick on the first day which we attributed to the buffet - but you can never really know. Although that is the only place we ate at all day
