Let me first say that the hotel itself was not lacking in any way in terms of the accommodations, staff and food. I had a spacious Deluxe Room with Sea View and couldn’t have been happier with it. The bed was very comfortable, the room was immaculate and the view was beautiful overlooking the water. The staff were phenomenal - friendly and welcoming, ready to provide whatever assistance I needed. And talk about clean, the elevator was being wiped down top to bottom when I walked into it one evening. The location of this hotel is good. There’s a “boardwalk” that runs along almost the whole shoreline so you’re in the right place staying here. The food portions are plentiful and the food itself is good. The only issue I had with this hotel is the pool area. The pool itself is on the smaller side which is absolutely fine…it’s clean and the water is the perfect temperature. My issue was that it’s supposed to be a quiet area that doesn’t allow balls, toys, loud noise, jumping in etc and there are signs posted stating this. Whenever we were at the pool though, there were kids throwing balls, yelling and jumping into the pool splashing anyone that was nearby. The last thing it was was a quiet area! The disappointing part was that the parents of the kids were fully aware even though the signs were right in front of them. And, the wait staff would be coming back and forth very aware of what was going on too. Obviously there wasn’t any monitoring so for us it ended up being a blemish on what would have been a perfect place to stay.

Hotel Perla delivers and lives up to its good reputation. Friendly staff, always helpful. Good restaurant. Nice and clean rooms. We felt well taken care of. Rooms facing the sea and easy access to a 4 km. beach promenade. Highly recommended. Here you can relax and enjoy or have excursions :-)

The Perla was just an all around lovely experience. Both the breakfast and supper buffets were delicious, varied, and artfully displayed.

We’ve just returned from a wonderfully relaxing week at Hotel Perla in Herceg Novi – our first visit, but certainly not our last. What mattered most to us was the location: somewhere peaceful to relax and unwind, yet only a short stroll into town. The views from the hotel’s dock were absolutely stunning, and we never had a problem finding a sunbed. There’s also a lovely little spa area with a pool, loungers, and a sauna – perfect for switching off. Breakfast offered a great variety and set us up well for the day, and we found all the staff to be friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A 25-minute walk, along the lovely promenade, in one direction takes you to the beautiful old town, full of character and excellent restaurants – especially if you love fresh seafood (you’re in for a treat!). A 15-minute walk the other way brings you to a marina with a handful of nice restaurants and bars. During our week we also ventured further afield, taking a bus to Kotor to enjoy the cable car, and joining a boat trip out to the Blue Cave – both well worth it. All in all, Hotel Perla was the perfect base for a relaxing week, and we’re already looking forward to returning.

So enjoyed stay at Hotel Perla. Airport transport from DBV super easy and communicated well for pick up. Hotel has amazing views and it is easy to get to the beach or see the sites within a few min walk. My room has exceptional view, had clean and fresh linens, and the AC worked so well during the high heat of this August. Hotel staff were graciously accommodating when I extended my stay. Definitely recommend and will visit again!

This was our 3rd visit and each time we enjoy it more. We had a lovely room facing the sea, views were fabulous. Reception staff are excellent as are the cleaning staff , the hotel is spotless. We taxi’d to the Old Town then walked back along the newly paved promenade . We were on half board , breakfast was very good, nice to see baguettes /croissants and greatly improved this year. If I have one minor complain it’s the fish serviced at dinner isn’t filleted , don’t like the head & tails left on and all the bones Looking forward to visiting again.

We stayed here for 4 nights during a tour of Montenegro and wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel is in a great location on the seafront and a pleasant 15-20 minute stroll to the Old Town which we loved. The hotel is very clean, rooms lovely and the staff were all very friendly and helpful, particularly the ladies on reception. Enjoyed spending time on the sun loungers next to the sea where they serve you drinks which are reasonably priced. If we return to Herceg Novi will stay here again.

Excellent location on the water with great access to Herceg Novi old town and restaurant. Comfortable room and generous breakfast with very friendly staff and a lovely private pool. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting the area. Location is superb
