A group of 13 of us visited for 2 nights . First impressions were good but second impressions less so. Our room had a smell of dampness. Our sheets were damp. The lack of basic facilities was noticeable. Lack of hooks for hanging towels, batteries in tv remote etc. Breakfast was basic and disappointing. Companions rooms similar. Water pooling in sinks, no hot water and a general substandard level of cleanliness. Breakfast was on a tired looking terrace.

Room different than pictures. Very basic. Not even a bottle of water in the room. Just go somewhere else

This riad was organised by @GAdventures as part of the Highlights of Morocco Tour. It was a located in the middle of the medina and also close to port, with many good food options just outside. The rooms, whilst well-appointed seemed to have a slight musty smell to them and thus I slept with my courtyard window open. A few other travellers in my group reported the same and one couple asked to change rooms due to lack of ventilation. Otherwise, I experienced no major issues with this riad.

We were put here by the local hotel Melchouar Palace after they double booked us (family of 4, 2 kids). Town was extremely busy and we were told we were lucky to even get two rooms, which I believe. However, this Riad is one of the most disgusting establishments I have had the misfortune to stay in. Room 103 has water and mould dripping down the bedroom wall, mould all over the bathroom, serious cracks in all the plasterwork, and absolutely stank. Room 102 had cockroaches in the bathroom. The sheets all had stains on them and when I checked the pillows within the cases, they were riddled with mould. The upstairs terrace had crumbling paint and plaster everywhere and looked derelict. Breakfast was 2 boiled eggs between 4 of us and some random cold fly covered pancakes left out. We asked for plates and coffee and felt that we were putting the staff out. During the night there sounded like a massive fight down in either the road or the passage outside - my 12 year old daughter was terrified and I actually pulled furniture across the door. I have travelled the world and this was one of the worst establishments I have had the misfortune to stay in. AVOID

Nice location for access to the town and beach, only downside to this was the noise levels as you're right next to one of the mosques so the 6am call to prayer is VERY loud and nightlife from the streets can go on late into the night. Room was clean and well equipped. Breakfast on the lovely multi level terrace was varied and plentiful. Great views from our room being on the third floor, very grateful for the elevator getting us and our luggage up and down!

Good view and it's inside the medina it's also walking distance from the the beach the breakfast is good and also the rooftop 😀

The rooms were very stuffy, with no air-conditioning, no fans, and no windows opening to outside. The only window in my room opened to the internal courtyard and I did not feel safe leaving it open when I wasn’t there. The staff were not welcoming, were loud and when I requested soap for my room they were rude. They also refused to carry our bags to our rooms. The rooms had not been serviced properly, although the bed was comfortable. The other members of my tour group all felt the same. The breakfast was not appetising. I would not recommend this hotel at all!

Disappointed
I booked a room with a city view but was given a room with no view and no sunlight, the room smelled of mold, the garbage from the previous guest was still there, there were no toiletries, and the sheets were dirty, the breakfast was alzo very disappointing and not worth mentioning. On top of that, the price was high for such poor quality, definitely not worth the money

Place did not match description or advertised pictures.
A very small and tiny room.
No basic toiletry available and no towels.
Bed sheets were stained.
Would not recommend or stay there again.
But I would say 1 thing the service was great!

Traditional riad hotel in the old town medina, right in the heart of all the pedestrian lanes of colourful shopping stalls, restaurants and market. Few minute walk to the long sandy beach, boat harbour, fish market and ramparts. Small elevator was nice for access to upper levels. Twin bedroom was small. Beds comfortable. Basic bathroom with shower. Good hot water and pressure. No room safe. Lots of electrical outlets. Basic limited buffet breakfast served on upper terrace. No housekeeping during our couple day stay.

Awful food. After coming back twice to say they could not make the Pastilla nor Rice dish, our water arrived. The bottle had been previously used, filled to the brim, and we speculate it was not filtered. 15 dh.
After 25 minutes our food arrived. The Spaghetti Fromage was simply spaghetti with grated cheese on top. No sauce, onion, anything. Dry, tasteless, and late.

Without doubt the worst meal I have ever bought.

Stay away! Rude staff and overpriced food. My grilled fish was not fresh, bland and rubbery. It took a good one hour to come and was a whopping 230 dhs! I took two bites and left it. No views are worth tasteless, overpriced food. They seated us at a table with a stained table cloth and crumbs all over. Going to this place ruined our otherwise perfect day in essouria.

The food was very good although a little pricey. The side bread was very good. We ate a calamari tajine which was with a very tasty.

Excellent view over the old bastion. Food is oke but a bit expensive. Some personnel were very friendly. Good place to eat/drink and enjoy the sunset. On the roof top or inside.
