Great hotel with excellent facilities and staff

The hotel and facilities are amazing. Breakfast staff are friendly. Concierge friendly too. Check in and check out is a process and takes long with long wait times and queues. Check in staff not the most friendly. Otherwise had a fab time.

If you like waiting this place is for you! Whilst most of the staff are friendly, there is a serious lack of urgency in their service. Whether it was checking-in, ordering drinks, or asking for a towel by the pool, you’d always have to wait. This is quite a surprise given the number of staff working - it is unbelievably painful to see plenty of resource around, yet all lack a sense of urgency and ooze...

It was perfect experience but the price is too high. Also the in door swimming pools are very dirty water you can smell it. For the break fast was perfect.

The hotel is in a great location, surrounded by the famous Buddahbar, a restaurant that has the best show in Marrakech, as well as simple meals, supermarkets, shopping malls, currency exchange points, etc. Very good, worth recommending.

A very good experience. It is said to be the best hotel in Marrakech. There is a shopping mall next to the hotel, which is convenient for shopping. The room is spacious but the door looks old. The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool. The breakfast is very rich and the waiters are polite.

First time in this hotel, and really not disappointed! A wonderful welcome, everyone makes themselves available for us, an exceptional breakfast, room and swimming pool at the top!  Thanks to the whole team and especially to Amina and Imed. I will come back without hesitation.

We booked for a 3 night stay for 3 people but had to manage a room for 2, for the first 2 nights. No apologies whatsoever from the hotel nor a compensation. The 2 rooms we stayed in during our stay were both badly lit; make up for nights out was a huddle cos the room was quite dark. A great highlight however is the amazing location and fresh flowers in the lobby that oozed amazing scents.

Luxurious hotel, excellent cuisine and convenient location.

It's average minus. The entrance is beautiful, the pools are stunning but this is mainly it. Food: breakfast is nice then the rest is tasteless. It does feel like you are at school. Rooms: you have to ask many time for everything. Robe asked 3 times. More towel 3 times. Get chairs and a table on the balcony 1 time. Clean the fridge 4 times (there was mold inside and they didn't even clean it...

It is pretty large but shabby hotel, swimming pool in summer and winter (indoor and outdoor respectively), housekeeping and the food at C grade of 5. Overall - for the money you can find better, get back.

The hotel itself is not bad, common area are nice, garden and pool are nice but the room are very random and maybe a bit old design.

The price is right, and it's very close to the nearby shopping mall. The two most famous bars are also nearby and can be reached on foot. The environment of the small garden is also very good

Great location. Gardens, Poolside, Lobby but disappointed rooms. Very old , stinky, uncomfortable rooms. Rooms needs immediate new and modern updates. Have changed the room three times. With this room’s condition price is on higher side. Customer service is good though.

Really pleased with the hotel and the staff were very helpful and friendly- we are both veggie and didn’t have a problem with the food options but we may have found it repetitive if we had stayed longer. Our only concern was that housekeeping knocked on our door at 22.45 one night I think to give us something but we didn’t feel happy answering the door.

This hotel was great for a family trip away. Nice pool areas and facilities. Staff were very friendly also.

The property needs to be renovated. This is not a 5* hotel. If you go there with the expectation of 3-4 stars you won’t be too disappointed. You have to request basic 5 stars amenities instead of it being provided in the rooms. The food is good and there is a variaty

My stay was only a short one, and I am very much a foodie, but my thoughts in summary are ; beautiful grounds, beautiful rooms, poor drinks at times eg making a pina colada with vodka because the bar was closing in 30 minutes and they wouldn't open a new bottle of rum !!! It’s very run-down for a ‘5 star’ resort. Everything just needed re-vamping. A lot of the sun loungers were broken etc. The food and drink were not good, and the service in the other restaurant, which you have to book, was awful - we left after the first course! The staff however, were so kind and friendly, and the place was clean!

I booked a hotel in Marrakech through trip.com and was really satisfied with my experience. The booking process was quick and easy, and I was able to choose from a wide selection of hotels. The room was nice and big, the breakfast was great, but the hotel needs maintenance. Very decent breakfast, original rooms, the swimming pool is not great, the windows are not insulated at all, you can hear everything outside and the cold comes in, the air conditioning is not regulated, they manage the temperature and it is poorly managed

When arrived at the reception the booking number was not registered on the their system, they asked me to fill in a paper form with my details and I had to wait for 15 minutes to check in.

Everything was simply top notch, breakfast buffet, dinner buffet, the heated pool and and the gym, an amazing stay, can't ask for more. We're actually planning to return next week. We left our phone charger behind, so I hope they will read this comment and keep it until we get there.

Definitely a very very old heritage hotel with a lot of history! The hotel premises are stunning. The reception and lounge staff were so nice and helpful. I do think, the hotel could do with a litte but of refurbishing especially for the rooms. But I cannot complain! Got the best deal, and had a really good time and the breakfast out in the garden under orange trees was like straight out of a movie...

Although the facilities were a bit old, it was a comfortable and satisfactory stay during my 2-night stay. I think it would have been better if the breakfast had been a little more abundant.

Excellent hotel. Beautiful lush green oasis with so many trees, plants and birds. Good for a trip - but missing the 5 star treatment Location was amazing and had some amazing facilities. Great service, very large rooms but very poor and simple decoration, with all the beautiful artisan work available this place should be astonishing, but it isn’t. This is by any means a 5 star hotel , many bus excursions arrive here, the food also is not great, and the location is far away from all the historical sites and attractions. Don’t let the 5 star rating fool you.

My stay at Sofitel was very comfortable, pleasant and enjoyable. Service was kind, friendly and knowledgeable. Service at the breakfast buffet and pools was a little slow due to how busy it was, but the staff were always trying their best and attentive. The public areas were clean and well maintained, there was fast internet and the room facilities were clean and comfortable.

I really liked the hotel, my friends were passing by, looked in and immediately fell in love so much that they booked a stay there for a few days. Very beautiful design, good location.

Decent hotel room, but the sound proof sucks, we can basically hear the mosque calling prayer to pray or the breakfast commotion downstairs as our room is facing the swimming pool. There are two swimming in the hotel, one is a heated one which is nice, but they are not that deep. The Moroccan and Indian restaurants inside the hotel which we had tried are pretty good, but slow service.

Palais Namaskar is visually stunning, with classic Moroccan architecture and beautiful gardens. We booked a villa with a private pool, which was spacious and had great potential, but the property is clearly showing its age and urgently needs renovation. Doors didn’t open or close properly, the bathroom flooded easily, and there was visible mould in the pool. The TV was outdated at least 12 years old...

The only bad thing was that we only stayed for 2 nights. The Hotel is incredible, we were upgraded to a Suite and we LOVED it. The staff was incredibly friendly and the restaurant was just great. A beautiful venue, every corner is made with care, we had our little house with a big shower and swimming pool, we felt so privet. Service was perfect, from the reception to the housekeeping and with out forgetting the staff at the restaurant.

This is a super lovely hotel with superb staff. Staying at this hotel made a big difference in my stay in Marrakech. I did find it very luxurious but, at the same time, easy to navigate. From having gym facilities to the option to exchange money at a great rate and the lovely food at the restaurant with international and Moroccan menus.
