Riad Zineb is part of the Kemela group and is located in the centre of the Medina, about a 10 minute walk from the central square. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are very traditional, clean and quiet. Room service was excellent with towels and shower gel/shampoo provided as required. Breakfast is very good with fresh fruit and pastries each day served in the courtyard alongside the small pool. Recommend booking a taxi (20 Euros) with hotel prior to arrival in Marrakesh as it is not easy to find the Riad in the narrow streets. We did this and the hotel arranged for our suitcases to be taken from where the taxi dropped us to the hotel, about a 5 minute walk. Overall a great stay and would definitely recommend it.

Firstly the location is fantastic if you are on a weekend break and concentrating on the sites of the Medina etc. I would recommend you organise the airport transfer via the hotel as this was perfect otherwise you could get lost. Our room (No 1) was adequate for a couple though the towels were threadbare, thin and well washed (grey). I hung my clothes in the "wardrobe area" of the room only to find them all damp the next day, so keep your clothes in your case. The breakfast was nice and a good choice , when they eventually put it out (8-10am) though never fully stocked until nearer 9 am and not covered so flies were present, I dread to think what it would be like in the height of summer. If you are on a city break and just want a bed and breakfast it was fine.

This is a nice riad. It is more expensive than others that are higher quality. The rooms are traditional and tasteful but there has been no updating or renovation for many years. The bathroom water pressure was weak and it was impossible to see in the bathroom mirror. The main problem is that the staff is almost all located at another riad, since this is one of a group and only minimal service is available here. Breakfast is from 8-10 but bread and pastries didn't arrive until 8.15.

Solo trip and my first time in Marrakesh and I’m so glad to chose to stay here. The riad is very centrally located and perfect for the souks and the sights. Inside is clean, peaceful and the rooms are pretty and well maintained…but the real treasure here is the staff. Aziz and his team did everything they could to make the stay perfect. Can’t wait to return

This Riad is part of the Riad Karmela group. The Riad is stunning, a traditonal place to stay. Excellent location and Excellent staff, nothing was to much. The Riad was clean and quiet.

Riad Zineb is a very authentic Riad located in the heart of the city and hosted by very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfasts were lovely, the room was huge and well appointed and I had direct access to the communal roof terrace with views over the city. Highly recommended.

15.10.2025 Tracey

Riad Zineb is partnered with Riad Karmela and you can use the facilities of both and the staff who are all wonderful work for both Riads. We had a fabulous dinner in Karmela on our first night. Everything g about the Riad and rooms was perfect. We were two friends and stayed in Room six as it had two double beds. I would highly recommend .

A beautiful small riad in heart of the medica. About 15 min walk to jamal el fnaa square. Pool is very cold but is perfect after a hot day exploring. Beds slightly on hard side but were comfortable. Thomas the cat is a sweetheart and loves a belly rub. But the star of the show is Aziz who goes out of his way for every resident and nothing is too much trouble. He did more than I could ask when I was poorly for a couple days and he is so pleasant and empathic. He is a credit to all that have raised him. Thank you Aziz. I hope ( I know) you will be successful in your career.

We loved our stay here! The riad is stunning, the room is beautiful and super comfortable! Staff is very kind and helpful! Helps us with our reservation, with the luggage and also arrange a quick breakfast for our early departure. And the location could not be better!

First visit to Marrakech and could not have stayed at a better place. About 10 minutes stroll into the thick of it all yet whilst at Riad Zineb felt we were in our own little haven. The rooms are gorgeous and spotlessly clean and the staff fantastic - nothing is too much trouble. Said and everyone who looked after us were attentive and bent over backwards to make our stay an absolute pleasure. Would love to return to this amazing place and thanks again for looking after us! Cheap, nice owner and good wifi. At least during winter time rooms can be bit cold and moist. Bad location.

29.12.2016 Jacob

Very basic and no one speaks English. The owner tried to scam me into paying more by showing an outstanding balance from another customer and saying I owed too, even after I showed him my confirmed booking and payment. The internet here is atrocious as well.

27.03.2016 Jiad

The place is clean but the location is horrendous. Be careful with the caretaker as he will offer you advice on which shops to go to, but they are all his friends (ie they will give him a commission) and will swindle you with ridiculous prices. I wouldn't stay there again despite the prices being very reasonable simply because the location is awful. Also if you stay here you should plan to be back by midnight as we had an unfortunate experience of being locked out because the caretaker fell asleep

14.01.2016 Greg

The food is OK. But you can easily find better for a better price.

From the outside you would never expect to see the decor when you first walk inside - an oasis in the Medina! Good bar and amazing setting however the food did not quite live up to the same expectation. Menu was standard Moroccan fare and some of the dishes were excellent (chicken and almond pastilla) but others just OK (tagine), still worth a visit if you are staying nearby

04.01.2018 Robert

Had an amazing experience at this restaurant. They were very accommodating to me being american and only knowing english. Beautiful restaurant and great service.

26.11.2017 S.

Charming, converted riad geared towards foreign tourists. The centerpiece is a colossal iron chandelier with lit candles. Reservations are preferred as with all restaurants in Marrakech. Try and get a table upstairs overlooking the bottom floor. Was a little warm when we dined there but we were put in a little room adjacent to the main dining room on the first floor.

23.11.2017 Timothy

I loved it. Kind of place James Bond meets foe/lover. Rather typical Moroccan menu so don't count on being spoilt for choice, but what a place to eat and drink. Shall definitely go again. Slow service which I like and plenty of privacy in certain booths. Rooftop amazing and friendly staff. We had to be "invited" when we went.

23.11.2017 Victor

Touristy but worth it. You need to get there walking because it is in a part of the Medina inaccessible by car. The service was relatively quick and attentive. Very good food (prawn salad with lemon and cumin, and a beef tajine with peas and artichoke). Beautiful building.

Service was polite and the rooftop is a nice place to sit even if the views aren't that impressive. Lots of local food options. Food is ok and cheap.
