I have just returned from 5 fabulous night at Riad Azahar . I have visited Marrakech a few times , always stayed in hotels BUT Riad Azahar has changed me . The Riad has been restored beautifully from bottom to top , the roof top is on 3 tiers with a small plunge pull and views of the Atlas Mountains, sun going down. The hospitality from the meet and greet to the so long farewell was so nice , me and my friends just felt totally relaxes and it so quiet there. All the staff were all on hand at all times to provide a service of excellence , Roberto the owner was always around to help and advice, Simon we saw a lot he was our support and rock with the lovely breakfast we had each day as well as all the advice and supported we need, Yusuf with his big smile as well as Ismael and they always remember your names & there to help, we all felt very welcome and it’s like being part of a family in there home . The Riad Azahar has on site massage salon & Hamman and it’s a MUST , the lady is Inda I think she dose amazing Hamman and massage, this is a place you can totally unwind , what more important is the HOSPATALITY is unique in many ways , you will see for yourself

Such a comfortable and welcoming riad located in the heart of the medina by the Bahia Palace. Owner (Roberto) and all the team were super kind and helpful. We mostly saw Simon, who was excellent. Riad has been beautifully restored and they can also arrange for a hammam and massage. Breakfast was great too and very tranquil place to sleep after busy days in the city.

What made our time at Riad Azahar special were the people. The staff were genuinely warm, attentive, and deeply caring, making us feel looked after from the moment we arrived. Their kindness and quiet presence shaped the entire week’s experience. We very much appreciated having access to a private hammam and massage on site to fully relax and enjoy being pampered in the calm of the riad. Our hamman and massages were followed by a delicious meal by the fireplace, particularly welcomed as it was cold and rainy during our stay. The riad is well located: we were within easy walking distance of many souqs and key sights within the Medina and we explored everything on foot. Riad Azahar is a place where hospitality is expressed through care and attention, and we would (will) happily return.

We stayed one night at this hotel. We had previously stayed at some beautiful mid-range riads in Marrakech and we were excited to splurge on a higher end hotel. We left frustrated and exhausted. Firstly, the hotel is an echo chamber. Whether it's guests walking around their rooms, flushing toilets or the staff, every noise inside could be heard. Outside our room, groups of men at different times throughout the night, chatted loudly next to our window, before riding off on their motorbikes. I am not sure if the empty lot across the street made it an easy spot for them to meet.

Every surface of the hotel (while may look lovely in photographs) is uncomfortable. The chairs and couches are rock hard. I also sat on a chair where a cat had recently urinated so the hotel had to wash my pants.

Lastly, the room and bathroom seemed too basic for the price. The sheets were not Egyptian cotton and the bed pillows were uncomfortable. I was forced to sit up and doze as my neck got so sore from the height and hardness of the pillow. The water in our room was never very hot and the shower pressure weak so I could not wash my hair, nor want to, in chilly December.

While the staff were accommodating and always polite, it did not offset the experience or extremely poor value for money of this hotel. It does not seem reasonable to us that a hotel charges such prices when their guests in this room cannot have a reasonable or comfortable night's sleep. My recommendation is to look elsewhere if

We really had a nice stay at Riad Azahar. Roberto was very helpful by trying to book the desert tour and good information on Marrakech.

Riad Azahar is centrally located easily walkable to all attractions. The staff are very friendly. Yousef was very helpful in finding us parking and helping with our baggage.

Had a wonderful experience at this Riad. The Riad itself is beautiful and clean. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed with Moroccan tea and snacks. The owner, Roberto was kind enough to give us a run-down of the city with a marked map.

The service provided by Yousef and Simo was amazing. They served breakfast when it worked with our schedule and made sure we had everything we needed thoughout our stay. It felt like we received personalized services and they definitely made us feel at home.

I was overwhelmed of the beauty of the this Riad and the friendliness of their staff and owner. Everything was impeccable clean, great food. Simo gave me valuable hints regarding the City. Roberto, the owner, welcomes the guests in person and can be proud of this jewel of retreat. It's located in the centre of the Medina and easy to get around. Restaurants and cafes are nearby, as is the souk. I definitely will stay here again when in Marrakech

I stayed for 5 nights on a birthday celebration with old friends. Its an attractive Riad, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped and the stay was good value for money. The roof is beautiful, with seating, tables and chairs, sun beds and a plunge pool, small Hamas and shower. The outstanding service from Roberto the owner and the staff made the holiday for us, nothing was too much trouble and all the staff, really helped at the Riad and when we wanted some local information. The food was very good, breakfast included - we opted one late afternoon to stay in one evening for dinner and it was really excellent local food - best to give a few more hours notice. The location, as it is for most Riads, was down a dusty old alley way in the south of the old town but we walked everywhere and found it to be accessible to all the central attractions and very easy and cheap to get a taxi to the French quarter to the north west.

Restaurant El Bahia is situated next of entrance of Bahia Palace. It obviously was part of this historical palace. Restaurant El Bahia has one of most beautiful enterior of restaurants I have ever seen.
Besides of amazing looking you will find a great and nice staff, and an excellent kitchen. Prices are not low related to other places in Marrakech, however, quality and size of meals and side dishes make Restaurant Bahia a very good choice.

Lavish interiors downstairs, plainer on the roof terrace. Mint tea wasn't very strong. Patisseries were delicious, though. We felt a bit sorry for the tortoises wandering about on the roof.

The restaurant has a beautiful interior and is from the 16th century. It was very relaxing eating here and the food was very delicious. The service was top notch. I don't know about pricing as we were invited there part of a conference dinner.

I’ve come here twice with Indonesian groups that I led. The last one was in end of November 2017. Located in the middle of the Souk (market) and only five minute walk from/to Bahia Palace, Dar Es Salam is like an oasis. The exterior part looks nothing but a humble building but once we enter the door, we know that it is a very nice place. Yes, it’s an exquisite restaurant. The interior reflects the beauty of Moroccan architecture. This restaurant was not only giving us a culinary experience but also a cultural experience.
The food was super delicious. We really enjoyed Chicken Tagine. There was another big group eating almost at the same time as our group and I guess that’s why there was a live music of two guys playing traditional instrument on stage and a beautiful woman came up as a belly dancer. Very cultural and entertaining!
The restaurant has a small room for prayer, for 8-10 people, in the second floor. But, since, some of participants are senior citizen and had difficulty to walk up, the restaurant finally provided a space at one of its dining rooms on the ground floor for the senior citizens to pray. Thank you for the thoughtful consideration.
I definitely would love to come back with more groups in the near future.
