The room was amazing! It was exactly like the photos on Ctrip! Although we booked a garden view room, it was absolutely amazing! The canal is right outside, so you can walk everywhere! Location is good given proximity to Van Gogh Museum, and there are a few food options including a supermarket nearby. However, it lacks a gym and the garden is too small to do anything there like walking. Having said that, there are quite a few stairs to navigate and if you really want to add some intensity to your exercise, you can try to carry your luggages while you go up the stairs (joking)....

The hotel is located 5 minutes away from a tram station, making it convenient for travel. It is located on a quiet street with no noise. Some rooms in the hotel do not have refrigerators, which can be improved.

Amazing vintage shops and cafes nearby, in a fabulous street that takes you to the city centre in a 15 minute walk. This was a lovely characterful part of Amsterdam that we enjoyed much more than the larger tourist areas. The flat was nicely presented, basic but comfortable. The proximity to the local shops and Central Amsterdam was great.

My husband and I stayed at The Craftsman for 3 nights in the Tanner room and had an exceptional stay. It was amazing to look out the windows at the lights reflecting off the canal at night and we didn’t hear our neighbors even once (sometimes a trade off when staying in buildings with so much history). The room was very small and the hotel smelt like a dirty litter box. The beds had hairs in them and you could tell the floors and walls had not been washed in a very very long time. The breakfast buffet was overall ok but there were some things that looked potentially old (not fresh).

We had very comfortable sleep. Everything was clean. The bathroom was marbled floored and was very easy to slip and thought it was ver dangerous. While the hotel itself is very new and modern, the actual building itself is shared with the Moxy (undisclosed) and the housekeeping department does little more than make the bed and replace towels. The floors, fridge and microwave were filthy, the couch had stains, there were cobwebs on the ceiling, exposed nails, and 3 lightbulbs were dead, leaving the room very dim.

Good place to stay away from all busy streets of Amsterdam. Good base location to explore regional places around Amsterdam

Our stay at the Banks Mansion was fantastic. We loved the first floor vibe which was welcoming to return to after a day sightseeing. Rooms were very comfortable with nice city views and a great location. Would definitely visit again.

The mattress feels one side high and one side low when you sleep, because the hotel is very old, so it is not very clean, and quite small room,but the staff is good service

Stayed here for 3 nights, and the price of 200 euros a night still felt a bit expensive. The location is close to Amsterdam South Station, but far from the Central Station. It takes about half an hour to get to the Central Station by bus. There are free apples in the hotel lobby. The elevator is very small and narrow, and can only accommodate two people. The overall old, clean and hygienic.
