the hotel is in a great location if you arrive by long-distance bus. The hotel rooms are small, but the hotel is beautiful, modern and clean, receptionist super nice. Maybe I give a minus point for the bed, which gave us a little back pain after 3 nights. However, for the price, it's great.

Great location near a bus and train station. Big common areas with a kitchen that is very convenient to cook meals. Rooms are clean and comfortable. We loved this hotel. All staff including cleaners are so polite and welcoming. Location is amazing anything you could want or need is within walking distance. Near to museum area which is just within 10mins walking distance . We get to checked in earlier around 1pm with no charges which is very nice to us , as long as the room is available. Tram stations just opposite the road very convenient.

Our room was not ready on time and the manager was very accommodating and did her best to make us comfortable including giving colouring and small teddies for the kids. Beautiful hotel from the moment you walk in the doors rooms are well presented clean and a good size for Amsterdam, my only issue was the mattress toppers were beyond worn and all bubbley which made it feel like the bed was full of crumbs which made for a sleepless night, other then that the the staff were as friendly and warm as could be which just added to the hotels overall charm.

The room is OK, facing the canal, the scenery is nice, the corridor inside the hotel is also beautiful, close to the South Station, and it takes more than 20 minutes to walk to the Van Gogh Museum. The front desk is very experienced.

The Sofitel Legend Hotel, while the building itself is old and of okay quality, suffers from subpar room decor and maintenance, making it unworthy of the price. Just for your reference!

Booked for NYE for 1 night, and very glad I did so! The hotel is very close to the city centre without it being noisy or too busy (easy to catch the free ferry or bus and a short walk).
