We spent our winter holiday here and there are plenty of local groceries stores around. The train station is just a breeze walk away so it’s easy to travel around. The bed was absolutely terrible - it wasn’t even a proper mattress; more like a cot. We didn’t sleep well at all which is unfortunate given our lengthy travels. Wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.

We thought we are staying in a castle style hotel but we are not, since the first picture posted is a castle look and it's very misleading photo. overall the hotel is rated ok. staff is friendly, surrounded with eateries restaurants and cafe, convenient store is few min away. I love my stay at Hotel Luxer. Its clean, very near Amsterdam Central. The staff are so nice and helpful. and just a walking distance from all attractions in Amsterdam. there are also a lot of affordable restaurants besides the Hotel and in the nearby area

If you’re only in Amsterdam for a couple of nights you can’t get a much better location than this. Absolutely perfect. We were pleasantly surprised with our room. The bed was genuinly the most comfy we’ve had our whole Europe trip. Really nice staff. There is a little foyer and seating area. Free coffee (coffee machine) and nibbles. Small walk to the train station.

The hotel is a historic building in the good Neighbourhood of vondelpark . It’s clean, safe and convenience. There are convenience store nearby. 24 hours service. And if you’re lucky, you’re gonna meet the cute grey cat😁

Great hotel we was able to check in early as there was a room available, nice and clean and not to far from Amsterdam Central being only a tram ride away will stay again

Ok hotel close to Vondelpark which is gfeat for walks and spending some time close to nature. Rooms are tiny and too expensive.

Good location, 5 mins walk to a tram stop that takes you to the center. Staff were very friendly. Clean rooms. And noise was very quiet and sound proof rooms :)

I am an easy traveler, I don't look for 4 or 5 stars hotels but sometimes it's too much! My room was located at the 4th floor without elevator! I am 64yro but lucly i am Fit and healthy otherwise it would have been impossible to do go up there! Trust me and have a look at my picture. This is ridiculous :(

This is a great option if you want a view of the canals but don’t necessarily need a lot of space. Spent very time in the room but was great. Conveniently located near the tram stop’s and restaurant’s and shopping is a short walk across the street is any direction. Great affordable find!

The room was very small and the hotel smelt like a dirty litter box. The beds had hairs in them and you could tell the floors and walls had not been washed in a very very long time. The breakfast buffet was overall ok but there were some things that looked potentially old (not fresh).

The room was clean, facilities all worked well. Check-in was at 15:00. I thought that was very late.

Very average hotel, check the room you have booked because they have given me a lower category room that I have booked through *******, luckily I complained and they moved myself to the other I had originally booked. Another thing is the booking of the housekeeper 24hrs prior the cleaning, which it doesn’t make any sense. I wouldn’t book it and recommend this hotel.

We took a restricted view room in the basement which was much better than expected. The room was a good size and had everything we needed including a fridge. The bed was king size plus and very comfortable. The buffet breakfasts was excellent.

While the location and was good, the “upgrade” room was overall a bit dingy-and, quite frankly-the two twin beds that were pushed together to make a double was completely unsleepable. Add in that I could not get housekeeping to service room for over two days and it just wasn’t worth it. Too many other options out there.

This is an older, very basic hotel, but in expensive Amsterdam, a reasonable price for what it is. Depending where we were, Google Maps would recommend us to go to Bos en Lommerweg via tram on 19 to Sloterdijk or to Solebaystraat via Bus on 21. The hotel is very convenient. It's a 6-minute walk from the train station and right in the city center. Highly recommended. It's also very close to the tourist attractions.

From the moment I walked into the hotel, what stood out was the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. The gentleman who checked me in, was so helpful. He wouldn’t allow me to bring down my bags and did it for me, which really made my entire trip. This hotel is in the middle of everything, close to public transport. I really enjoyed my stay. 20/10

Nice place and all the room I got ‘upgraded’ to was smaller then the previous room which confused but this one had a bigger balcony.

The room was super clean and spacious, lovely bathroom. The room could use a little TLC for things like furniture and fixtures. The staff was helpful and unobtrusive, housekeeping was great. Location was perfect for a quiet spot to call it a night after exploring all day.

Overall a good stay and experience, except a very distinctive smell in a bathroom when we just moved in, like someone just used it. Property vise, you can see how the wallpaper is in a process of detaching on a ceiling and walls.

No elevator for the fourth floor. Stairs are spiral and VERY steep, with very small stair treads that are not large enough to place entire foot on. Otherwise, the property and location were great.

I was wondering why the review score isn't so good for this property, the hotel is nice and clean and has a good location, however their service standard l isn't on the same level of the property, wanted to charge me 12+ euros for one hour of late checkout, while the hotel wasn't so busy, although he heard I was on a call, I was rushed to go out by 11.30

The location is great. Our main criticism is that the bed was poor quality mattress and my partner felt close to falling out of bed more than once. Also the bathroom light couldn’t be turned on without also turning on a hall light that disturbs your partner in your room.
