Holiday Inn Lisbon by IHG in Lisbon

A very good hotel with clean, spacious rooms and a bathroom with a bathtub. The breakfast was excellent – a good selection and very high quality. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Check-in was quick and we were able to go to our room already in the morning. As a member, I also appreciated the late checkout. One staff member kindly asked about my wife’s well-being, which we found very thoughtful. The metro is easy to reach, making it convenient to get around the city.

I stayed here twice so far. The hotel is basic and a bit dated but the rooms are quite comfortable and quiet and prices are more than fair, so at the end of the day it's a great deal in terms of value, especially if you prefer to stay in Saldanha like I do. Special shout-out to housekeeping who do incredibly good job (my expectations in this area are very high so it's rare for them to be exceeded :)).

The hotel also treats IHG Diamond members very nicely, and I got a very nice room upgrade on both my stays. Loyalty is appreciated here.

Overall - not a luxury option but a fantastic value if you want a comfortable room in a great location. I'll be back soon :)

A perfect hotel for family holidays! Great value for money with very good service. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the breakfast buffet is surprisingly good. A special shout‑out to Alastair and Khadafi from Lounge 28 - thank you for the brilliant service and for making our stay even better!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We stayed for three nights with our two children.
The room was large and very clean.
The staff were very welcoming and kind.
The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful.
Special mention to Gisleine, who was fantastic with our two children, aged two and five.

Good location, clean room, spacious... comfortable....good service in general

The property itself feels extremely dated and in urgent need of refurbishment. However, the main issue is not the building, but the front desk team. The reception staff are consistently cold and disengaged; there is no genuine sense of welcome, no smiles, and no basic hospitality touchpoints you would expect in an international hotel. Check-in feels transactional rather than hospitable, and you really have to push and insist to make your needs understood, as they neither interact with guests naturally nor show any proactive service attitude.

I have stayed in hotels all over the world, and I can confidently say this front office team requires serious development in guest relations, communication skills, and service culture. A comprehensive training program in hospitality standards and customer service is urgently needed if this hotel wishes to meet the expectations of international travelers.

On a positive note, the location is excellent and very convenient, especially being close to the airport. With such a prime location, it is disappointing that the service level does not
match the potential of the property.
