The location is excellent, right outside the Downtown Line MRT station. The National Museum, Peranakan Museum, and Fort Canning Park are all within walking distance, just next door. However, the hotel is very old and dated, and the facilities are just average. I'd recommend the nearby Mi Hotel or Strand Hotel instead, which seem to host mostly Chinese guests. This area is full of hotels, making it convenient for dining, accommodation, and transportation.

The hotel is right in the city center, next to a subway station, so if you arrive during the day, you can just take the subway and save on taxi fares. The environment is comparable to a 3-4 star hotel in China, and the price is quite affordable. Daily cleaning and complimentary bottled water service are nice touches. It's very convenient to get to all the attractions, and there's a food court and convenience store right across the street, so meals are never an issue. ( ˘ ³˘)❤

The room was spacious and clean, and the soundproofing was quite good. Overall, it offered great value for money. However, Ctrip stated there was a bar, but it was actually located outside the hotel.

The hotel's location is great, right by a subway entrance. However, the service is genuinely terrible, and the cleanliness is exceptionally poor. If you care about hygiene, definitely avoid this place. The air conditioning vents had a thick layer of dust. The shower curtain in the bathroom was moldy, and you have to stand inside the bathtub to shower, which is very inconvenient and dangerous, especially if you're traveling with elderly people or children. The front desk staff were aloof, extremely rude, and unhelpful. I do not recommend this hotel.

I saw this hotel recommended online.

When I arrived, my eyes were really opened – it looked exactly like a hotel from the 1980s, no difference.

**Location:** Honestly, it's super convenient. It's right next to the Bencoolen MRT station, just a 1-2 minute walk. Getting anywhere is really easy, that's for sure.

The hotel is small and the decor is very old-fashioned. The bed is flimsy; it moves with the slightest touch. All the tables and chairs are made of wood. It even has a bathtub, and you have to stand in it to shower. The floor drain isn't good; the water from the sink came down, but the drain couldn't clear it, so it pooled.

**Wi-Fi:** Decent.

Aside from slippers, they don't provide any disposable toiletries; you have to bring everything yourself. The towels were so worn they had loose threads, so I definitely wasn't going to use them. I asked the front desk for more water, but they only gave two small 300ml bottles, saying I could refill at the water dispenser on the first floor. Okay, fine. 😑

There's a fridge, a safe, and an iron.

The shower pressure is strong, which is a definite plus.

**Room Size:** The room might be considered large for Singapore. There was still space after putting down two big suitcases.

**Pros:** Large room, good location, good shower water pressure.

**Cons:** Too many to list.

Overall, it was pretty good and exceeded my expectations. The location is super convenient, right next to the subway entrance. After a day of exploring, you just step out of the subway and you're at the hotel. I got some great rest.

The room was spacious enough for us; the quadruple room was quite large. We were allowed to check in early, probably because we were staying for seven nights and they didn't even ask for a deposit. Downstairs, the MRT Blue Line goes directly to Chinatown, Merlion Park, and Gardens by the Bay. If you turn right outside and walk past the traffic light, you'll find the National Museum and Fort Canning Park. To get to Orchard Road, you can turn right, then right again to walk a bit to the Yellow Line MRT, or just walk directly, though it takes some time. There are affordable places to eat right across the street. The hygiene was good, but the details weren't great, and the room was a bit old. However, the spacious quadruple room, convenient transportation, and dining options made up for it.

Good location next to Bencoolen metro and bus station, also to Singapore Management University and the National Museum.
The room was ok, but the bathroom needs a renovation with a proper shower and not an old bath.
But overall, I'll be back because of the value for money and the location.

We were delighted to have free upgrade. The facilities in the room were great for both business and family travelers. The bathroom/toilet was clean and the water pressure for shower was strong. It was quiet at night and the mattresses were good for back support. The location is superb, next to MRT and there are bus stops within 50m.
The only disadvantage was the stairs in front of the hotel which we had to carry our luggages up till the main entrance, as the electrical stair lift was not in operation.

You have promotion going on with no efforts in crowd control control. Customers have to do the job for you. No queue system. Your poor staff have to go in and out to look after the queue. Fantastic!

This is a really nice place to try out all kinds of sushi/sashimi and each plate which can have 1/2/6 costs only 1.6 SGD which is more than reasonable and also tastes great. I have tried a lot of different ones there, and I am more than satisfied. The best part is that they have a rotating platform which has sushi/sashimi plates in it and anyone can pick it from there if they do not wanna order through the iPad they have attached to each table which sometimes gets stuck a lot but that was okay all I had to do is wait for it to load. They serve food right away within a minute or two which is awesome. Would definitely go there again when I visit Singapore!

For its price, the quality and selection were pretty decent. It felt like there are more variety than sushi express though there are no free hot green tea here. It is also possible to order through their tablet, using their e menu app. Food was okay but the app was terrible and hanged quite a few time before i was able to order. Other than the app, all else is good.
