Very good location surrounded by amazing food and decently close to east coast park. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating and they have lots of complimentary snacks and drinks. You can definitely tell they are newly renovated as the appliances and such are all nice and shiny but the building itself seems to be quite dated. Carpets are a bit stained, lights are a bit dim, walls are a little worn, giving a little bit of a creepy vibe. Maybe if you like that old-building feel you might enjoy your stay here but I probably wouldn't go back again.

Cannot say enough good things about this hotel.
Perfectly situated near both bus and train lines so you can go anywhere you would like conveniently.
The Katong neighborhood where it is located has some incredible night life - check out the two outdoor restaurants just east of the hotel after dark for awesome food at a great price, as well as a unique glimpse at local dining culture for foreigners.
The hotel and room were immaculately clean. The staff was helpful even for suggestions to work around issues I was having with my normal phone provider while roaming in Singapore. My one complaint is that the shower didn’t get hot enough, but that is literally my only complaint about the entire stay. Incredible price for the value.
Will stay again next time I’m there

Everything was fine, and I was pleased with the complimentary mini-bar. However, on the day of my check-out (22 Feb 26, around 1100 hrs), I overheard the receptionist informing an Indian guest that only the bottled water was complimentary and that he would be charged if he touched the mini-bar items. From my understanding after doing a quick check, the mini-bar items were actually included as part of the complimentary stay, so I was unsure why that statement was made.
I also felt slightly uncomfortable, as the receptionist’s tone became noticeably more polite and warm when the next guest arrived at the counter, who appeared to be from a Western country. I am not making a racial assumption, but the contrast in service attitude was something I found odd.
Additionally, I found it unusual that my entire debit card details were taken for the security deposit, as such information is personally sensitive to the cardholder.
Overall, I wanted to highlight these observations for your attention. The world isn’t perfect, I know, and that’s why I believe in supporting and encouraging businesses that strive to do better.

2nd visits to Santa Grand Hotel, very convenient to find food and shopping. The check-in is fast and good services and informative. There is coffee machine in front of the check-in desk with some local snacks. The machine have Teh Terik too. The room are comfortable and clean. The bathtub is clean too.

The hotel is in a good location, very close to East Coast Park. It's also convenient to go to Geylang for frog porridge and not too far from the airport. There's a swimming pool on the top floor, and plenty of dining options nearby. However, the bedsheets weren't very clean, and the room was quite small.

Santa Grand Hotel East Coast was a great stay—very clean room and excellent service. They even provide free coffee and cookies, plus a free mini bar in the room, which was a lovely touch. Merci Marcel is right next door, and the location is super convenient with bus stops both right next to the hotel and across the street. The bed was super soft and comfy—perfect for families.

Exceeded expectations! The hotel is located in Katong, a well-established neighborhood near East Coast Park. It feels more vibrant and lived-in than the city center, yet getting to major attractions by bus is incredibly convenient, taking only 15-20 minutes. It offers great value for money, and the service was excellent; they even upgraded me to a double room. While the room wasn't objectively very large, for a four-star hotel at this price point in Singapore, where space is a premium, I was very satisfied. The lobby also features Penan-style decor.

Great hotel not too far from the airport. As we realised our day use booking doesn’t offer us the best use of the time, the staff member at the reception helped us with options. Room has everything a transit visitor needs even toothbrush and all. Free minibar was a fantastic idea. The biscuits and coffee at the lobby helped us too. We were farewelled with the same courtesy with getting us a cab at 3am. The welcoming supportive vibe was there with the staff and also with the room arrangements. Will definitely choose this hotel when we go back. Thank you Santa Grand!

Decided to try their new ribs dish at $16.90. The ribs came and it was nearly just one quarter size of my plate which was much of a difference compared to the photo they display. It tasted ordinary( nothing special ) and was served with a sloppy amount of fries that were clearly left there for quite some time. Definitely not worth the price and I would not ever try Astons new dishes again.

The soup could have been better, meat wise we took a set and it was not bad. Overall it’s quite ok, but I would have preferred a buffet instead.

The location and space are nice. We had lunch there so the restaurant is quiet, dinner would be more crowded.
Food is ok but expensive compare to other bbq restaurant. We ordered jum jum set for 2 costing $40 but the portion is quite small. Total bill is 50+.

Decent BBQ place with reasonable quality ingredients. However, way too pricey for what they serve. Expect to spend around $40 per head (excluding beer) to eat a normal amount of food. At this price there are far better places. Service also needs improvement.

Fun and delicious evening. Good selection of foods to grill and the Tom Yum soup addition is a strong favorite. Service was very very slow though and not particularly friendly but the food is still worth it.
