Very convenient location, close to restaurants, shops, and public transport. Easy to get around the city.

Hotel was clean, good view, receptionist was polite and got a free room upgrade. Was only confused between the lap pool and the infinity pool as the signs wasn’t clear but overall, a great stay.

1. I had a wonderful experience at the front desk. Deepika did a great job. She was courteous and helpful.
2. Housekeeping really really need to buck up. My previous stay in Nov25, my room door was left open when i came back. This trip on day 1, rubbish was not disposed and was left on the table. Day 2, i got back to the room at 7.30 pm and my room was not yet cleaned and I had to wait for it to be cleaned.
3. My floor, level 5 had the smell of Durian.
4. Overall, the stay was good and I hope the housekeeping can improve as I love staying at this hotel, due to the location.

The overall experience was exceptional. I was upgraded to a suite at no additional cost. The room conditions are satisfactory, and I particularly enjoyed the bathroom, which features a bathtub.

The hotel was very nice. Very well done in the bunch of infrastructures. Unfortunatly I had a bad experience checking in with the staff getting our rooms confused first and lying to us after. When we walked into the lobby, just asked the asian female reception staff whether we can check in right now, but the answer was NO and we had to wait till 3 pm. In that time, the other male staff came to us with an extremely angry talk,he blamed us for no asking him for dropping tags and then drop our luggage off with other guests’luggages. I’ve still no ideas till now, it’s my first time came here, how can I know this rules? In the end, these two guys were off work and a nice Indian guy helped us check-in without any hesitation. Than I sat on the sofa and witnessed my phone that was 14:20 on my screen in my room. Approximately past 1 hour when I came into this hotel. All the best.

Second day at the hotel a year ago ..this time round the room facilities more down with worn furniture and the room was fill with dust ..
Only toothbrush toothpaste n no shower .
On the whole the hotel room need to be renovated and replace some old furniture .

Our family spent the NYE at Novotel, quiet and serene away from the busy and festive atmosphere of Marina. Rooms were tidy and clean, although took time to be prepared for the standard check in time. Staff was gracious to extend complimentaries to compensate for the delays and the hassle of giving rooms that were on different floors bec requested early on to have rooms adjacent or fronting as we are a family of 5. Glad that we were given late check out as well. It was a relaxing stay overall.

Overall we are very happy with the cleanliness of the hotel room and the friendliness of staff. The breakfast spread are satisfied.
Due to the sharing of Mercure and Novotel hotel, the free shuttle bus might be full during peak hours, hence need to wait for the next bus i.e. 45 mins.
The hotel might need to improve on the check in counter service as there are 3 counters but only see 1 staff on duty during our check in and out.

Extremely Slow and Poor service and very mediocre food.
We visited there on Sunday 17th September for lunch. It took almost 30 minutes for the tea to arrive after ordering. I can't imagine when could we have a cup of tea without reminding them. And one vegetable never arrived, so I had to cancel it. Tired of reminding them again.
It was a waste spending beautiful Sunday lunch at Shang Palace in Singapore. Not even a simple "sorry" from them. 5 star hotel 5 star price 2 star food and 1 star service. Disappointed.

Great quality chinese food. They serve Tim Sum and cooked dishes. I have returned to the Shang Palace many times now. Great service and after their renovation, the menu was refreshed as well with a new chef, raising the bar for tim sum fine dining.

Taste - food are nicely done but no surprises. Very nice dessert.
Food presentation - average
Ambiance - red theme decoration and with chinese traditional music at the background. Spent 3 hours there and still feel comfortable. Slightly cold.
Service - good
Not cost justified. Can consider this place for company events due to its ambiance. Set menu available.
