The hotel is right by a subway entrance, so the location is generally okay. However, it's very old, and there's a strong, unpleasant smell in the room. The white bedding was stained and looked dirty, which made me feel it wasn't very clean. It might be an option if you're on a business trip looking for something slightly cheaper, but I'd advise tourists to think twice before booking here.

Very convenient. There is the lift next to the hotel to directly go to Metro 3 lines, very close to Sentosa. The room is not that big but well-designed and has everything you need. Would be happier if they can provide paper boxes of water instead of water tap (if don’t want to use plastic). Water in Singapore is really expensive.

Pros: The hygiene and environment are excellent. It's conveniently located right next to Outram Park MRT station, a major interchange, making it easy to walk to many attractions. The orange juice vending machine on the first floor is a great deal, providing juice from four oranges for just 10 RMB. The pool is small but offers a nice view.
Cons: This might be a common issue with hotels in Singapore, but check-in takes an extremely long time. Also, there are extra charges for things like an additional blanket. The windows are sealed.

The hotel's location is excellent, right out of Exit 4 of Outram Park MRT station, making it very convenient to get to all the main attractions. The room was also quite clean. Plus, it's close to Chinatown and the Maxwell Food Centre. The soundproofing in the room was good too; even though we were assigned a room next to the elevator, we didn't find it noisy at all. The elevator requires a key card, which adds to the safety. The only downside is that the hotel's Wi-Fi is terrible; pages often wouldn't load. After 10-11 PM, it was pretty much unusable.

Room and Amenities: The room was quite spacious, with enough room for luggage. The universal outlets were a plus, but the USB-C ports on them didn't work.

Hotel was conveniently located right on the metro line, and walking distance to Chinatown, Neill St bars and Maxwell hawker centre. Reception staff were friendly. Rooms large and clean (much bigger than other hotels in Singapore). The staff were accommodating - holding my bags before my room was ready, assisting with early check-in, and securing a late check-out (extra fee paid of $20SGD per hour) so I could remain at the hotel and use its amenities til I left for my evening flight.

Dorsett location is fantastic. With bus stop just in front of the hotel & MRT directly lift access for 3 lines. The other 2 lines are walking distance like 5 minutes. Highly recommend for those who want convenience.

This hotel is incredibly convenient, right above the subway station. The room was small but well-equipped and clean. The facilities are a bit old, but the service was good. I'd choose it again next time for its excellent location.

Never disappoints.

Small restaurant but serves some of the best quality Chinese cuisine. Their fish and the way they cook it is so delicious. The Irish duck is yummy and so are many other dishes. Was there twice last Chinese New Year and all my family and friends were impressed.

I visited this cafe for a Sunday Brunch all by myself. The menu is quite small and there's not a lot to choose from. The orders have to be placed at the counter. It was easy to find a seat as the cafe wasn't too crowded. However, it was quite noisy as there were lot if little kids accompanying their parents. Coming to the food, I ordered Smoked Salmon, Orange Juice and Banana cake and liked every bit of it. The orange juice was quite average but the Banana cake and the smoked salmon with mushrooms and scrambled eggs were near to perfection. Once the order is placed, the service is very quick. I hope the cafe adds more items to their menu though.

Came here for brunch with my husband. Nice and tranquil cafe for a morning brunch. We ordered american breakfast and waffle. Really nicely cooked! Loving them!

I have tried most of the menus in selfish gene cafe. Try the whole lot breakfast dish, its absolutely value for money. They have unique homemade Kefir soda. Lemon lavender cake is a must.
