The room was clean and tidy, and the night view from the window was great. I stayed here last year too. It's convenient for eating out and getting around by subway, with a lively, local atmosphere. The front desk staff were very efficient with check-in and had a great attitude.

Great location with convenient transportation. The room design was sensible and clean, and the pillows were comfortable. While breakfast wasn't as luxurious as a four or five-star hotel, there was a good variety of options, and everything you'd need was available.

I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Express Katong and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is in a strategic location, making it incredibly convenient to get around. Public transport options are easily accessible, and the surrounding streets are lively with plenty of cafes, eateries, and even a nearby shopping mall. Food options are abundant, which is perfect if you enjoy exploring local flavors.

The hotel itself offers complimentary breakfast, and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality. They even provide a grab-and-go option with pastries and coffee, which is perfect for guests on the move.

Overall, the combination of location, food options, and thoughtful amenities made my stay enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel for both short city breaks and longer stays in Katong.

This hotel was recommended by a friend. You can tell the front desk if you have any special requests. The staff were all very enthusiastic, and the breakfast was quite good too. Check-in is on the seventh floor, and there's an outdoor dining area where you can relax and enjoy the breeze while waiting.

The hotel is quite clean. The room isn't huge, but for the price in Singapore, it's pretty good. It's a comfortable 10-minute walk to East Coast Park. Plus, the bus and MRT stations are very close by. Being near a residential area means it's super convenient to grab daily necessities or head to a hawker center.

The hotel's location is good. However, the hotel itself is very old, and the rooms are quite small. In terms of room quality, it's comparable to a budget chain hotel like Home Inn in China – essentially the same standard. The breakfast is decent, with more Western options, and the Chinese breakfast leans towards Cantonese style.

Transportation & Environment: The hotel is located in the Katong area, right above a bustling commercial street, making shopping and getting around very convenient. While reaching the main attractions downtown by subway might be a bit of a hassle, it's still a great option if you don't mind taking a bus.

Check-in is on the 7th floor. The room is cleaned daily and is spotless.

The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices.

Stayed for one night during a layover. The hotel is very close to the airport, and they even provided a complimentary airport drop-off, which took about 15-20 minutes. The room was small and compact, but that's typical for Singapore. I didn't have breakfast, but I saw the spread, and there was a good variety. There's a small mall right outside the hotel with plenty of food options around, which was very convenient. I'd definitely consider staying here again for future trips. There's also a dessert shop across the street from the hotel that looked good, but it was too late for me to try. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this hotel.

Extremely poor value for money, not recommended! First of all, the facilities are worse than even a Hanting Hotel in China. Secondly, the bathroom had a very unpleasant smell. For the same price, you'd be better off staying at a Holiday Inn.

Also, the breakfast area was too crowded, and even with about twenty minutes left until closing, they weren't replenishing the finished dishes. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in Singapore, bar none.

The soup could have been better, meat wise we took a set and it was not bad. Overall it’s quite ok, but I would have preferred a buffet instead.

The location and space are nice. We had lunch there so the restaurant is quiet, dinner would be more crowded.
Food is ok but expensive compare to other bbq restaurant. We ordered jum jum set for 2 costing $40 but the portion is quite small. Total bill is 50+.

Decent BBQ place with reasonable quality ingredients. However, way too pricey for what they serve. Expect to spend around $40 per head (excluding beer) to eat a normal amount of food. At this price there are far better places. Service also needs improvement.

Fun and delicious evening. Good selection of foods to grill and the Tom Yum soup addition is a strong favorite. Service was very very slow though and not particularly friendly but the food is still worth it.

Decided to try their new ribs dish at $16.90. The ribs came and it was nearly just one quarter size of my plate which was much of a difference compared to the photo they display. It tasted ordinary( nothing special ) and was served with a sloppy amount of fries that were clearly left there for quite some time. Definitely not worth the price and I would not ever try Astons new dishes again.
