La Fresa Hostel in Corralejo

Good Points : Location was good Somewhere to sleep 6 bed mixed dorm was so much bigger than the 4 bed female dorm They never ran out of toilet roll I was so happy to leave this place Bad Points : Red flag no 1 : Cash only Red flag no 2 : NO ID required, or checked. (I did offer it). No signage to say you have arrived at the right place. Look for the address rather than the name of the hostel Not very welcoming staff, not knowledgeable about the area Woken by builders, doing some maintenance on the pool No atmosphere. 5 minute limit on shower Not enough toilets No water in pool, as pictured in the photos on *********** (not as described), even the loungers needed some maintenance. Was not the relaxing holiday I thought I was going to get There was no where to relax Food stolen from allocated trays I booked a 6 bed mixed dorm, and was put in a 4 bed female only dorm on the first night. I did question this with no response. I was asked to move the next day to a 6 bed dorm, which is what I originally booked so didn't hesitate to move. Female only dorm was tiny, not a lot of ventilation, and hot and stuffy, and no internet. I was asked to move dorms twice. Door lock number for front door was changed with no communication with new code Tiny seating area for the amount of people staying I booked for 7 nights but did not stay for the 7th night. I left a day earlier, to stay ANYWHERE else. I tried to get a refund due to being uncomfortable in my dorm with aggressive people (this was the last straw for me), who did not like me using my bed light to get changed and write my journal of the days activities. I switched to my phone light, and that was still a problem for the people in the dorm. TIPS FOR PEOPLE STAYING IN DORMS IN HOSTELS : - If your a light sleeper, or the slightest noise, or light bothers you DO NOT stay in a hostel, as people are coming and going all the time whether they have been out late, or getting up early for a flight. HAVE PATIENCE :)

Very small hostel - if you are a single female do not stay here - I requested a female dorm and was put in a male dorm in the basement with three men - two of whom snored all night - requested the female dorm again was told not available- then asked for a private room but was told it was booked out - I should have read the reviews first.. I am writing this at 2.00a.m.

Absolutely disgusted by the staff behaviour at La Fresa on apartment number 37 ! Arrived yesterday with my partner only for one night and the young Spanish girl who was in charge of the apartment started flirting with my partner while i wasn’t there sending him half naked picture on social media and asking him to take her to England where we live . I never ever experienced something like that in my entire life and the owner of the La Fresa should be choosing his staff more wisely,. I’ll put these comments on trust pilot as well to let people know what they can expect if they come to stay there with their partners ! It’s horrendous!!
