We absolutely loved our stay at Hostal Sa Barraca. The moment you walk in, it feels like home—the kind of place where you instinctively want to take your shoes off and settle in. It’s cozy, welcoming, and full of charm.

The couple who runs it are truly wonderful—so kind, thoughtful, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Their warmth sets the tone for the entire stay.

The location is perfect if you enjoy walking. We didn’t use our car once during our time there! Everything from the beaches to the town center is within reach on foot, and the strolls are beautiful.

We couldn’t have asked for a better base to explore Begur. Highly recommend!

Had an amazing stay at Sa Barraca Hotel in Begur! This charming, well-curated hotel is run by a lovely couple who make you feel right at home. The highlight? That breathtaking sea view—truly magical!

Staying here felt like visiting your grandparents' house for the holidays, with vintage decor, soft jazz playing as you enter, and a cozy communal space where you can enjoy breakfast, read a book, play cards, or simply admire the view from morning to evening.

The bedroom was spotless, featuring a high-quality mattress, comfortable linen sheets, and a private terrace for extra relaxation. The bathroom was equally clean.

If you're visiting, I highly recommend the homemade breakfast—it’s worth it! Plus, the owners are always happy to share their best tips on where to eat, what to see, and how to make the most of your time in Begur. If you're driving, there's also a convenient parking area.

Our home away from home. We absolutely loved the location, view and the hosts were simply the kindest people we met. The prices were very reasonable and the breakfast delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

Our stay at the Sa Barraca was absolutely wonderful! The hosts are a married couple and are very welcoming and lovely. We had booked a room with a seaside-view and were blown away by the panoramic view over the ocean. The room was very clean and the hosts were always happy to help.
The breakfast is freshly made and totally worth it.
The hotel is at a very good location, with the ocean and supermarkets being nearby.

Our stay at Hostal Sa Barraca was amazing - Juan and Pilar were such caring and considerate hosts and we loved spending time at their hotel. The views from the rooms were stunning and the location is so close to all the amazing beaches around Begur. We appreciated being able to use the kitchen to prepare food but also order coffees and food in the morning. Juan and Pilar made us feel right at home and even humoured my attempts at speaking Catalan with them. The rooms were clean and comfortable with AC and balcony. The location is amazing but the hospitality even more so. Thank you Juan and Pilar, we hope to return soon!

I almost want to keep this place a secret! We stayed here 6 nights and it was the best decision I made in our entire trip to Spain. It was truly a home away from home, and was a “vacation” within a trip. So easy to explore the beautiful nearby coves and beaches from here, and also so great to chill there in the evening and wake up there in the morning to the view and birds singing. You have access to a fridge and microwave which makes self-catered meals some evenings possible. Hosts are lovely and helpful, and after 6 days it felt like saying good-bye to family. We hope to return!

A really special place. Gorgeous views over the coast and wonderful, welcoming hosts. Simple rooms but very clean and a cosy atmosphere with interesting art on all the walls. Great for solo or couple travellers who want to fill their days exploring the local area to return to a calm and simple retreat in the mountains. You can buy your own dinner and wine from the supermarket and enjoy the views as the sun goes down before retiring. I loved the way it was decorated - no tacky hotel things. It felt like staying in a home. Cannot wait to return

What a wonderful place to stay. The views are only matched by the service provided by the owners. Pay a little more for the better rooms - it's worth it if you're a sun bather. Home from home as the web site states.

We had a wonderful time staying at this lovely hotel. It is family run and both of the owners were very kind, welcoming and helpful. The rooms have amazing views of the sea, comfortable beds and a kitchen with a fridge for our use. They offer breakfast for €8 but they also encourage you to keep your own breakfast items and drinks in their communal fridge. The terrace where you eat breakfast has the same amazing view of the med. I look forward to returning to the area where you are a short drive from some beautiful sandy beaches and great tapas restaurants. When we return we will definitely stay at Hostal Barraca.

A real gem this! I've never stayed anywhere that was so immaculately clean and that includes 5 star hotels! The accommodation is comfortable though not luxurious, but perfect if you just want a base to explore the area which was the purpose of my trip. The owners are friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them to make your visit enjoyable. The location is superb with views from each room and the communal terrace. I will certainly be planning a return visit.
