A really special place. Gorgeous views over the coast and wonderful, welcoming hosts. Simple rooms but very clean and a cosy atmosphere with interesting art on all the walls. Great for solo or couple travellers who want to fill their days exploring the local area to return to a calm and simple retreat in the mountains. You can buy your own dinner and wine from the supermarket and enjoy the views as the sun goes down before retiring. I loved the way it was decorated - no tacky hotel things. It felt like staying in a home. Cannot wait to return

What a wonderful place to stay. The views are only matched by the service provided by the owners. Pay a little more for the better rooms - it's worth it if you're a sun bather. Home from home as the web site states.

We had a wonderful time staying at this lovely hotel. It is family run and both of the owners were very kind, welcoming and helpful. The rooms have amazing views of the sea, comfortable beds and a kitchen with a fridge for our use. They offer breakfast for €8 but they also encourage you to keep your own breakfast items and drinks in their communal fridge. The terrace where you eat breakfast has the same amazing view of the med. I look forward to returning to the area where you are a short drive from some beautiful sandy beaches and great tapas restaurants. When we return we will definitely stay at Hostal Barraca.

A real gem this! I've never stayed anywhere that was so immaculately clean and that includes 5 star hotels! The accommodation is comfortable though not luxurious, but perfect if you just want a base to explore the area which was the purpose of my trip. The owners are friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them to make your visit enjoyable. The location is superb with views from each room and the communal terrace. I will certainly be planning a return visit.
