Hostel Ondina warmed on me throughout my stay. The rooms are basic, no frills but extremely clean, very well air-conditioned and quiet at night. The staff are very friendly, and the cafe/bar they run on the top floor is welcoming. Location is walking distance to some of the most popular beaches in the area, however not in walking distance to any shop.

Unfortunately this hotel/hostel wasn’t what it seemed. We arrived and there were no staff around. We went for a walk and came back but there were no staff and the restaurant was closed, (Friday evening). To say the rooms were basic is an understatement. No water to drink and no means to obtain any. No internet code and nobody to ask. Literally nothing in the vicinity of the hotel. And why are there 2 listings for the same property on Booking.com? One as a 2* hostel, and one as a 3* hotel? It’s the same awful place. Same photographs. This place is shocking.

We had a lovely time at the hotel. The room was cheap and had everything we needed, the staff were always nice and happy to accommodate us with advice and additional requests, and the location is amazing (15 minutes walking from 3 of the most beautiful beaches on the costa brava) My only advice to people thinking of staying is to bring a car or plan your meals ahead, as there are no shops and very few restaurants in the area.

location is stellar, literally 1 minute walk to the beach and the heart of the city, super close to amazing restaurants.
concierge was very helpful with parking.
theres no elevator so if you have a lot of luggage it may be difficult. the wifi doesnt really work if youre on an upper floor either.

Nice place near aiguablava beach. The rooms are ok but humid and sounds travel well between the rooms. Usually quiet.

Amazing view of the sea. The rooms are very simple and the price is right for what we found. We had a quiet room and nobody bother us during our staying. There's also restaurant but we didn't eat there. The beach is very close to the hostal, with a nice walk you get there.
