Hotel Bell Aire in L'Estartit

Cheap, low-key hotel not far from the main beach. No parking, wifi hardly worked, no air conditioning, and we didn't have towels when we arrived and just figured that was normal (we asked later and got some). For $100 a night I expected a bit more.

I would not go for this room for 100 euro a night.

We were supposed to have double-bed room, sea view and flat screen among all the necessary facilities (comfy bed, hot water, toilet broom, less noise in the corridor by other guests or cleaning staff, ...), this is what we got instead:

- mountains view (which mountains, rocks maybe... !?)
- hospital-style bases for our mattresses
- cheap spring twin mattresses
- SCART plug had not yet been invented when tv was manufactured
- not enough hot water for showers of the two of us
- shall I comment breakfast? It is less than basic and with no healthy/ fresh food: for few nights better to have it bought from a supermarket. Furthermore, we asked to have breakfast around 7 am (not at 5!) cause we had diving classes at 8 am (some healthy food in the stomach is important u know...) and they said no)

The whole complex including the service seems to be taken away from a cheap hotel in a cheap area of Marseille in the early 60es.

The only positive asset is the friendly staff.
