Hostal Sa Rascassa in Begur

Lovely hidden gem. Well worth a visit. The signature dish, Rascassa (scorpion fish), was prepared over a wood fire and is the most delicious fish I’ve ever had. Excellent menu and wine list. We walked the coastal path from Sa Tuna in the evening. The walk was almost as charming as the restaurant.

We ended up in this little hidden gem for lunch and it was absolutely spot on. Great quality of products, well cooked and delicious. The service was excellent! I will definitely come back and I highly recommend it. Thanks for having us! :)

We stayed four days at Sa Rascassa in early August and had the best of times in this super charming and cosy place! Smooth self check in with a personal handwritten letter awating on the bed with all information you need. Rooms are very stylish and with attention to details in color, design and with comfortable beds and a fresh bathroom. Great to have the bath towels and beach bag in the room. Love the patio outside the rooms - and the personal name signs outside of every door. The garden is so beautiful - to have breakfast, lunch and dinner there is just a bliss! Excellent food across all meals - highly recommend you to book your lunches/dinners on site! Oscar and his staff pays attention to details and accomodate every requirement you might have. Another nice service on site is the Drogueria - first night the restaurant was closed and then we were able to make GTs as night caps when returning from our dinner in Begur on the lovely terrace from the self serve bar. Much appreciated that Aiguafreda is just steps away to take a swim or walk the beautiful cliff side walk to Sa Tuna. We cannot wait to get back again! Thank you Oscar & Team!

This tiny hotel based above a charming small bay is absolutely perfect. It’s very simple, but tastefully decorated and designed, very comfortable bed, and there is incredible attention to detail. Good toiletries, umbrellas provided as soon as it rains, no boring check in and out (rooms left open for arrival), delicious and simple breakfast, and when you get to enjoying your birthday dinner on the last night - super delicious food. And all in all great value! It was very low season when I was there so not sure how it would be in the heaving hot summer. But for me, solo and spending most of the day out with my family who were staying nearby, or was more than perfect. Thank you to Oscar for your charm, help and beautifully understated welcome.

I love Hostal Sa Rascassa! Really well managed, fresh and tasty food you can enjoy in the outdoor restaurant area and situated next to the sea. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Such good value for money.

This place is a true gem and delight. Nestled in a beautiful candle-lid garden among trees, this charming restaurant serves some of the best fish and seafood I've ever had. Entries, wine and desserts are all marvelous (dark chocolate truffles are orgasmic!). Apart from the exquisite food, the unique ambience of Sa Rascassa is only amplified by the very personal attention of the lovely owner who makes sure everyone is content. He is a passionate storyteller who puts his heart into this place, which can be felt. Thank you for this truly exceptional experience!
