Everything was just perfect! The location was absolutely amazing, no distractions or crowds of town. Only 5 rooms, so it always felt calm and private. The cove was only steps from our room, and was only busy on the weekends. The restaurant was always serving up delicious food, never a disappointing dish. The staff was fun and attentive. The whole experience was exactly the kind of luxury that we seek out. Sa Rascassa delivered in every way. We know we will be back, and we can hardly wait.

No staff on arrival, no pre-warning that restaurant was closed, no advice about anything, just a room. Additionally, access was too dark, nearly fell down the stairs. No communication from host until I cancelled the second night. Far too expensive for this level of service.

A group of 6 friends stayed here on a Pura Aventura walking holiday. Pura have never let us down with their Hotel choices. This is a lovely hotel in a great location. The food was very good, quite expensive but no more so than any of the other restaurants in the area. The service was excellent. The rooms were a little small and could be noisy. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the area but that is hardly the fault of the hotel!

Lovely setting and very friendly staff - but unfortunately my “secreto” dish was so underwhelming for 26 euros! Three tiny, undercooked, tasteless and unseasoned pieces of meat sitting on basically what looked like a pure of sweet potatoes and apple compote (everything had the same color). I complained about the dish and the staff seemed genuinely interested in my feedback which was good. I didn’t finish the plate and they didn’t offer to bring me anything else. That was ok. But then the bill came and they didn’t remove the dish from the bill which I thought was really cheap and unprofessional from their behalf. I would understand if I finished my plate but I barely touched it. Even the couple next to us (who also complained about a dish) asked me if they removed my dish from the bill and they were completely shocked to know that I had to pay for it because they heard me complain. Things like that make people never want to come back. Come on guys you can do much better!

The rooms are not luxurious but very clean and comfortable, and an excellent value for the price. An outstanding breakfast buffet is included, with fresh-squeezed orange juice and farm-fresh eggs cooked to order most days. The service is very good. Highly recommended!

Pictured is the view from the large outdoor space shared by 5 rooms.

Had a wonderful time here. Beautiful location right on the water. Staff all were excellent. Super friendly and charming and professional. Good wifi throughout the hotel and even on the beach. I'm sad to be leaving but hope to be back someday.

We stayed in September and the hotel was just magical. Perfect view from the terrace and located along the nicest part of the Cami de Ronda. Oscar and his team really looked after us. They have really thought of everything. There were only 5 rooms which were simply decorated but have everything you need and it’s very peaceful at night. The restaurant food was outstanding and the setting under the trees with the fairy lights was so lovely. Other restaurants and night life are a short drive away. We visited Begur, Pals, Cadaques and Aigua Blava and always commented on how nice it was to return to our peaceful hotel right by the water, away from the crowds. We had no issues with parking but did feel a car was essential to explore the beautiful surroundings. A really special hidden gem.

Hostal Sa Rascassa is really in a class all its own. Oscar and Merche (the owners) were in touch with me as soon as I booked the room to verify some dates and dinner plans. They have created a really special and wonderful place! The hotel sits steps away from the cove, so you can hear the ocean at night. It's also steps away from the Cami De Ronda, which you can walk for MILES from town to town Sa Tuna is a short walk, which I think is also the closest accessible "beach" you'd go to - the beach in front of Hostal Sa Rascassa seems more like it's a place where you'd launch a kayak or a small boat, not where you'd sit out and get some sun. The rooms open up to a deck with common space, and there are only 5 or 6 rooms, so you get to interact with your fellow guests which is a really nice communal experience. Check in is easy, with your name on a little chalk board outside of the room - like I said...charming. The beds were very comfortable, and exactly what we needed after a day of hiking the Cami de Ronda. Dinner is good - although I should say that if you are vegetarian, you have limited options. However, they were happy to modify and accommodate, which was great! The food is fresh and cooked to order, which is awesome. But let's talk about breakfast...AWESOME. Breakfast is included in the cost of the hotel, and it puts other complementary breakfasts to shame. There are fresh eggs, toast, fruit, and they'll even make a latte for you. AND they have oat milk! Hostal Sa Rascassa was a great place to spend a few days. If you're visiting Barcelona, I would definitely recommend heading north and relaxing here for a day or two...get a break from the big city. This was also a great home base for our daylong trip up to the French border, and then over to Girona. All in all, this was one of our favorite places we stayed. Thank you Oscar and Merche for creating something so special!

Utterly Magical. Probably the most romantic, delightful and charming restaurant we've ever been to. Beautiful trees who's canopies are draped with fairy lights, I could go on and on about this lovely place. The service was friendly and perfect. The food was cooked beautifully. It was a just totally wonderful. We are hoping to go again on our last night here in Begur but have to wait for a phone call from the owner to know if there will be a table available. A reservation is a must with good reason! It's fabulous! :)

This has to be one of the most magical small hotels I've ever stayed in. With just 5 rooms above a top notch restaurant, its location overlooking stunning secluded cove is second to none if you want a chilled break. The rooms are very stylish yet simple and all the staff are super friendly - especially Oscar the owner who is clearly passionate about his property and business. The food is also superb - can highly recommend booking one of the tables on the hillside overlooking the azure blue bay.
