Rooms are nice. Very spacious. We had a second floor room with pool and sea view.
Big balcony.
Location is out of town but it's a lovely walk along the sea front or you can catch a bus which is only 1 euro. Taxis cost 8 euros.
Reception staff were not friendly on check-in which did not give a good impression.
Food is too be desired. It wasn't to our taste at all. It was bland cold tough stale and unacceptable. Service was fine especially as staff were busy.
Drinks were ok...staff busy.
Nerja is a beautiful place to visit

Don't get corner room over the smoking area or you can't sit on balcony for fumes. Sun in morning for about sixty minutes if lucky. Bus service to Nerja very good. Staff are very good, food ok gets a bit repetitive after two weeks, it's value for the price paid.

Staff are amazing. Food a bit bland but fresh and plentiful. Spa is brilliant, only 14 euros. The room service not great, they do the bare minimum.
I would say more of a 3 star than 4.
It's a bit remote, you really need a car. Local buses from downtown stop at 8.45pm.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. Paid extra for a sea view room and loved it! Buffet pretty descent. Staff friendly. If you don't have the full all inclusive, at dinner, there are no free drinks included, not even water, so take your own with you if you don't want to be charged. Massage at the spa was very basic and definitely not worth the money. Spa hottub & hot stones were cold so only ended up going once. Beds are acceptable but not pillow top comfort. Resort is getting dated but clean and good value. The 20 min walk into town was perfect for us!

The rooms were clean and spacious, making for a comfortable stay. It would have been even better if tea, coffee, and bottled water were provided in the kitchenette area. The only toiletry supplied was shower gel, so bring your own essentials if needed. The hairdryer was quite basic, so if you prefer a more powerful one, it’s worth taking your own.

The décor is a little dated and could use a refresh, but overall the facilities were fine. The location is excellent — it’s a great balance between having a beachfront hotel and being within easy reach of the town. There’s also convenient access to buses into Nerja, which was really handy.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating, and upgrades were available at an additional cost.

Front desk staff were nice as well as informative.
We went to our room after a friendly check in. Arrived to our room with an odour that was of strong Clorox covering up layers of mold and mildew. Cleanliness of the room was toxic. Wiped the floor and the napkin was orange.The headboard was sticky and had red stains, ugh. Immediately went to pool bar where the beer was good but the snacks were inedible. We searched for nearby properties knowing we would forfeit the full amount of our stay. Had a wonderful experience at the Riu Monica!
PS. Hotel is on outside fringe of Nerja and not a short walk to anything.

My wife and I had a great time. The water was beautiful, beach was clean, the food was delicious , all the staff were super friendly and helpful. Especially the receptionist Marivi, she was so kind to us and very helpful, felt like we were talking to a dear friend. She definitely made our stay that more special. This was our first time staying here and will not be the last.

The worst hotel in Spain. They said they had free parking, but the free spots were all full. I had to pay 20 euros a day for parking, plus a 24 euro deposit. The front desk spoke English with such a heavy accent that I couldn't understand them. The hotel facilities were old and the room was damp. The pictures didn't match the actual room. I contacted the front desk, but they refused to check me out or exchange my room. I had no choice but to contact Ctrip, and thankfully, they were very helpful and finally resolved the issue for me. Terrible hotel! Great service from Ctrip!

We got a completely different room than the one shown in the pictures. The pictures had to be the first floor. We got zero.
It's sad that we paid so much for this.

The service is wonderful, and the facilities and location make it an ideal place to enjoy any time of year.
This is our second visit, and we're already planning our third. As for the buffet, it's very elaborate and varied.
The beach is just 10 meters away, and a couple of kilometers walk takes you to Nerja, for example, to catch the little train that takes you to the caves.
Sad to leave, but happy to be back.
