Plazamar in Torremolinos

Small, compact, spotlessly clean apartment, 2 bed studio with TV, kitchenette, bathroom with shower, lift etc. 2 minutes to the beach and promenade / shops / bars / restaurants, silent at night and all totally flat for walking - "perfect"

Basic but very clean Fantastic location right on the beach! The most spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Lovely welcoming staff. The town is right outside your front door 15 mins walk along promenade is torremolinos and walk 15 mins other way to Benalmadena Marina. Had a really enjoyable stay . Couple of things to make stay better hooks on bathroom door to hang towels, furniture pads to stop noise as at times really noisy. Would definitely return.

Lovely apartments in fantastic location. We had a gorgeous sea view. Even though it rained for our entire visit we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were so helpful. The apartment was perfect for what we wanted. We loved it and will definitely be back.

The apartments are in a perfect location, right in the middle of lovely La Carihuela on the beach. We paid extra for one of the 6 sea view rooms, which had a fantastic view and we enjoyed watching the sun come up from the comfortable beds and gazing at the sea. We also saw bats and parrots from the balcony. The other rooms overlook the buzzing pedestrianised square and all balconies are great for watching what's going on below, with a table and 2 chairs. There is another table and chairs inside if the weather isn't great. The area is quite lively, in a nice way, so there is some outside noise, but with the windows shut, it's really quiet. Air con and heating that works really well. The kitchenette is small with 2 cooking rings, toaster, kettle and full sized fridge but it's fine for preparing breakfast, lunch and drinks. Washing up liquid and cloths are provided, but no kitchen bin, just the small bedroom and bathroom bins. Perhaps a central bin could be provided near the lift or near reception for bottles and kitchen waste? A minor point though. The room was otherwise spacious and was cleaned and towels replaced nearly every day by the lovely lady who let me practice my Spanish with her. The staff are really friendly and will help with anything they can. I left a few items to dry on the back of a chair one day and when we returned, a washing line and pegs had been provided. Email communication before our stay was very good. Tips - Taxis cannot drop you right outside, so check the map beforehand. Reception is only open 10.30 - 2.30, so if you're arriving outside these hours, you will need to get a code to enter the secure building. If you have time between checking out and your flight, there are no communal facilities to use to freshen up etc., although you are able to leave your cases. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay here again. My only negative was that people smoking on adjoining balconies wasn't very nice when we were eating, but this is the same in most places.

I stayed at the plazamar for 9 booked nights but only spent 6 nights because I also went to granada and had to leave one day earlier. Actually I paid for 9 nights wishing to leave my luggage at the hotel and not wasting time checking in and out. Very friendly welcome at checkin. I had room 4. A 20 sq meter Studio for 2. Clean with plaza views. Little balcony and soundproof window. The only drawbacks are as fellow. Bad mattress. No window blinds. The drapes Let the sun come in and because the plaza is lit 24h it's very uncomfortable. The Light over the door that cannât be dimmed so I had to Cover it up . Kitchen lay out is not very handy and the coffee maker needs a serious update. That being said, I would recommend but I guess it must be very loud in high season so if me you cherish your sleep,....well maybe there must be other options. Torremolinos is tourist oriented and options are galore. But, at €42- à night, its very competitive. I had an excellent stay and the hosts are very friendly. I took à few pictures inside and trust the official site, its very clean and looks as it shows. No hidden flaws. As said, its only the bed that requires à change of mattress...my back has become too sensitive. 😄 if you chose plazamar be assured its clean, central and Lively. 1 minute to the beach.
