Reviews
Good location, good size rooms, washroom nice, but....
Very thinly run hotel, no front desk, no phone inside room, you need to go downstairs if you need anything. Only 1 person in entrance at all times. 2 elevators, but only 1 for guests (the other one not working at all times). One night when go back to the hotel, the elevator was out of service and we had to wait 30 minutes+ for service guys to fix the problem (we live in 6/F and I am a handicap with heart desease). We had to walk all the way up (later next day we found out that the elevator was fixed at 11pm). It was very hard for me to walk up 6 floors. Imagine when you have to check out to a cruise! I do not recommend this hotel for cruise travelers.
Oh yes, I forgot to mention that the AC is NOT working normally. It was freezing even we turn on heat and set temperature to 25C, still very cold. Fan blowing and aim to my head. The wifi almost not working. My room's wifi signal was so weak that it disconnects frequently.
Other than that the hotel is a HUGE NO.
Not clean at ALL , they don’t change the bed sheets when they “ clean “ the room and they don’t clean the bathroom , the “ cleaning “ is literally just tidying the bed and throwing the trash that’s it.
The smell of bathroom is very very bad and since the door is glass and doesn’t separate the bathroom from the room completely the whole room smells like the bathroom ( a very disgusting old sewers smell ).
There is no do not disturb sings ( there is only a tiny button on the door handle that will show a color which no one told me about at all and not highlighted anywhere) , so the cleaning lady knocks the door everyday and doesn’t even wait for a response she just opens the door on you which very inappropriate and violates the person’s privacy i don’t even have time to get dressed properly.
There is no phone in the room so if you ever had a question or needed anything you will have to go down to the reception by the very old elevator that takes a very long time to reach wherever you want ( so slow ).
The whole hotel is filled with paintings and writings of their religion ( i think catholic ) there is even a bible in the room instead of a simple phone , no disrespect to any religion but you don’t have to drag it into a hotel design it’s very creepy and gives cult vibes especially that it’s not even in a historical religious location that attracts anyone.
I will bring back the cleaning part again because it’s very upsetting , I don’t even think that they change the sheets after every guest , you can see the pillows’s color under the sheets and how dirty , old and badly used they are ( yellow ) , the bathroom is also old and disgusting there are scratches and mold everywhere they just put L’Occitane products to distract you from that lol.
This hotel will never be a 4 star that’s barely a 1 star , I deeply regret that I didn’t read the reviews before booking.
Breakfast was delicious, especially bio drink and the famous Spanish potato omelette — definitely worth trying. The room itself was spacious and spotless, with a very comfortable bed. I slept well and even woke up without any back pain, which doesn’t happen often for me. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with friendly service and good amenities.u
The decor and cleanliness is 10/10
The staff on the front desk made check in easy and were always on hand to be polite and helpful
The room was peaceful, clean and relaxing
The lobby areas are well decorated and arty
The location is only a few mins walk from the rambla which is the main areas for food drinks and people watching
Bathroom as beautiful and had loccitane products in there
The downstairs bathroom don’t have any locks on doors in the toilets but other than that no recommendations
We would 100% stay here again
Thanks for a lovely stay
They didn't allowed to bring any guests into the room! Even for 10 minutes (The friend I invited was really embarrassed by this refusal)
The room was dusty and the bed wasn't the cleanest.
The Wi-Fi wasn't working well. The breakfast had small choice.
There is one small elevator which broke during one day.
Really don’t know how they got a 4 star
We booked a room specifically with a bathtub and a balcony view — this was the main reason we chose Sansi Hotel. Upon arrival, we were informed that this room type was not available. After raising our concern, we were moved to a room on the ground floor with no view, a constant loud mechanical noise, and non-functional air conditioning.
We reported the AC issue at night, and the staff confirmed it was not working. In the morning, we followed up again, only to be met with complete indifference. The receptionist simply said, “all the ACs are like this,” made no apology, and showed no concern or willingness to help.
What has made this experience even worse is the behavior of the receptionist, which has been absolutely unacceptable. She is consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional — refusing to return greetings, offering fake smiles, and treating guests with clear disinterest. When I again asked about the correct room type, she claimed the hotel was full, then later said we could have the room if we paid extra — a response that felt dishonest and manipulative.
To make matters worse, there is no phone in the room to even contact reception. We’ve had to physically come downstairs each time, only to be treated with complete disregard.
This stay has been deeply disappointing and stressful. We expected comfort and professionalism — and received neither.
We will escalate the matter to the booking platform and share our experience on all public channels.
The shampoo and body lotions were amazing
A balcony would be great but I’ll definitely stay here again
