Requested a late checkout and could have been accommodated for free for 1 hour which I also appreciated. Ended up using the luggage storage service as I had a later flight.
Appreciated that the room was clean, nice shower pressure and hot water. The shower is a bit narrow so a bigger person will have a challenge. 😅
Room was on 7th floor with window facing the street so there was considerable noise at night and morning. I brought ear plugs so take that into consideration.
The hotel is nice, chic and clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I had a very nice stay and would recommend HCC Taber.
Edited to add: we did share this with reception who were helpful, however everything was consistently dirty throughout our 5 day stay. This was not a one off.
Rooms were in good condition and clean. My room had a large balcony with a decent view of the city. Only downside was the walls between rooms are quite thin.
Price was great considering the room quality and location. Surprised it was only rated as a 3 star hotel.
The room had enough space, the bathroom was clean, and the shower had great water pressure. One day of cleaning was missed, probably because the “please clean” sign was put out too late — not a big issue, but worth mentioning.
The staff were very friendly and professional, which made the overall experience positive.
However, one major negative point: the policy of not allowing any outside guests in the hotel room. This was unexpected and quite frustrating, as I had planned to have friends over to get ready before going out. If I had known about this in advance, I likely would have booked a different hotel.
Overall, a great stay with just that one disappointing policy.
Everyone at reception was very helpful, day and night staff were more than willing to help us out with any requests.
We used the sister hotel swimming pool which is just around the corner for a few hours one day and it was more than adequate for a quick relax and cool off in the pool.
There was a good selection for breakfast and availability until 11am.
The rooms were lovely, our room look out over the front of the hotel and had a balcony, it was lovely and not at all noisy from the road.
Kept very clean and had all the amenities you would expect.
Would recommend for a central well connected hotel.
