I stayed at the Chic&Basic Reding Hotel in Barcelona for a few nights in a standard room. The location is central and convenient, making it easy to explore the city.
Room & Cleanliness:
The room was relatively clean, and housekeeping was done daily. However, I occasionally found hair from the cleaning staff themselves left behind, particularly in the bathroom. The bathroom was small but functional. The bed was of average comfort, and the TV had very few channels available.
Bathroom & Amenities:
The bathroom was compact but sufficient, with excellent water pressure and consistently hot water.
There was only one trash bin located next to the toilet, which made it inconvenient to dispose of other waste.
The minibar offered drinks and water, though refills were not guaranteed.
A coffee machine on the first floor, along with several available tables, provided a pleasant workspace for those who want to work or use a laptop.
Noise & Service:
The room could be noisy from within the hotel, but not from the street. Most staff were polite, though not particularly cheerful. Requests were handled, but service varied depending on the employee.
Wi-Fi:

The location and the friendly staff are excellent. The option to park the car was also very helpful.

The hotel has a fantastic location, super convenient for sightseeing. Staff are welcoming and supportive. Lots of great local food options just around the corner!

Rooms are small but still big enough for two adults with two large suitcases. The rooms are not quiet and you will hear people walking through the hall, in their room, etc. beds are horribly uncomfortable. AC would not work at all and room was so hot and this was in November. Will not stay here again.

Very central. Close to Catalunya main line station also with Metro. Also close to Univeristat Metro. Very fast Internet probably cable. About 250 down and almost as much up. Loads of places to eat. Apart from the big market at La Rambla you should try Sant Antoni. Little further away but worth it. So easy to get around with Metro and Bus plus Main line is close. Funicular are also convenient and one was even free. Hola Barcelona Card for travel with one two three four and five day options. Tried to find some sort of website to buy multiple tickets for various attractions. Most offer Sagarda Familia but they don't seem clear of you can access the towers. But they may suit. Check them out but impossible to find one that does all you need in one place but could be cheaper than buying on the spot. So.e places only allow o line purchase others allow at the gate. Definitely book Sagrada Família before you travel.

The staff at the counter were kind and polite.
The room was clean. There were shelves, hangers, and a TV. There was no kettle, but there was a kettle, coffee, and tea on the first floor, and there was also a nice dining area.
The hotel was conveniently located about 5 minutes from the station.

The location was convenient, the room was spacious and I could easily open my suitcase.
The cleaning was also thorough and clean!
There was also a cute eco bag on the bed, which I was happy about!
I'd love to stay here again when I visit Spain.

1. Good comfortable beds, definitely of the firmer type just so you know.
2. Excellent blackout curtains and generally dark in the room without lots of devices having bright lights.
3. Quiet in the room with the mini bar behind a cupboard door and air-conditioning that can be turned to a low setting, which is reasonable.
4. Good soundproofing - so really minimal street noise - well-fitting doors and windows help here.
5. There is a real person on reception and the facilities generally are good whilst - well as the name describes - being relatively basic.
There’s nothing flash about this hotel, but there doesn’t need to be because it does all the basic (to my mind, most important) things well and for that it should be commended. Are there a few signs of wear and tear, yes, but can you have a decent night’s sleep and a good shower in the morning, also yes. Definitely a model example for any city centre hotel anywhere in the world.
Oh and the local area is pleasant and transport links excellent. This is including to/from the airport.

The food smelled of paint, there were no options for the breakfast takeout containers, it tasted bad, and the overall experience was terrible.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Barcelona's old town. The fridge is stocked with drinks and is free, which is unprecedented. Super friendly reception staff, and parking is available downstairs in the garage. Truly a top-notch hotel.
