Excellent Stay – Outstanding Staff and Impeccable Cleanliness

Our experience at this hotel was truly wonderful. The staff were exceptional — always helpful, friendly, and professional. A special thank you to Nerea, Ceaser, and Fabrizo – you guys rock! They patiently guided us through all our queries, and it was a pleasure communicating in English so effortlessly.

The location was a bit away from the city centre, but thanks to the nearby bus and metro connections, getting around was simple and convenient. The mall next door was a huge bonus, offering plenty of dining options and a large supermarket for anything we needed.

I stayed on one of the recently renovated floors, and everything was spotless with a modern, elegant design. The cleanliness was impeccable, and I loved the pleasant aroma throughout the hotel, which made the atmosphere even more welcoming.

Overall, a fantastic stay — highly recommended!

Stayed in the newly renovated premium room. Clean and well designed. Even the hallway and restaurant looked like they were recently refurbished.

There was still some ongoing renovation when we were there so there was drilling and knocking from around 10am to about 5pm.

Bonus: next to big mall.

My husband and I often stay here when visiting our daughter in Barcelona. It’s absolutely fabulous and we would not consider staying anywhere else. The w hole experience is always so pleasant. The entire staff is wonderful and too many individuals to mention here. We have never had any complaints whatsoever 😊😊😊 Cannot wait to go back . Thank you everyone 👏

A great, small hotel with fantastic staff. We we're made to feel welcome and the food was good. A special thank you to Angelica a lovely lady who always served up dinner with a smile and Dania who's sense of humour was great. The level of service in the restaurant was excellent even though we were only half-board. Thanks to all for making our stay so memorable. Muchos Gracias !

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Catalonia Maquinista. Nerea and Jordi were fantastic — their excellent customer service made my solo visit extremely comfortable. They were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The spa facilities were absolutely amazing—clean, relaxing, and thoughtfully designed. I had the best massage of my life here! The staff were professional and attentive, and the whole experience left me feeling completely refreshed and renewed. Highly recommend to anyone looking to truly unwind. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area

Staff are extremely friendly and very attentive. I came with my mother who has worked with Luxury hotels in London for over 50+ years and she really appreciated the cleanliness and professionalism from everyone. We highly recommend as the area has everything you’d need, plus easy access to buses/metro.

We’ve stayed at Hotel Catalonia, right next to La Maquinista Westfield in Barcelona, several times and it has always been a great experience. The hotel is quiet, comfortable, and offers excellent amenities.

One of the highlights is definitely the breakfast. There’s a wide variety to choose from: freshly cut meats and cheeses, different types of milk, freshly squeezed orange juice, quality coffee, and even eggs cooked on demand. They also offer vegetarian options like vegetarian sausages, plus chicken sausages for those who don’t eat pork. And the pastries—croissants, pains au chocolat, and more—are always fresh and delicious.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the decoration of the hotel is elegant and relaxing. It is on the pricier side, but in our opinion it’s worth it for the overall quality and experience.

On our last visit, we noticed a couple of small maintenance details (like some holes in the curtains), but nothing that really took away from the stay. The place still looks very nice and well cared for.

Overall, highly recommended if you’re looking for comfort, quietness, and a top-quality breakfast experience in Barcelona.

The location is very convenient, clean and hygienic, with a large supermarket nearby. Water was provided on the first night of my stay.

The facilities are rather old, after all, it's a hotel from 2004; the service is acceptable.
