Reviews
A couple of things would have made the stay even better — having a kettle in the room and a proper bin. There was an illy espresso capsule machine, but it didn’t work properly. Also, there wasn’t a bin in the room itself, just a very small one in the bathroom.
The room is nice and spacious, however, extremely humid which couldn't be helped by the A/C either. There is also a bad smell coming from the bathroom drains but overall, cozy and nice room and was perfect for my stay and needs.
The breakfast is really nice and generous, although, the buffet could be refilled more often. The orange juice is divine and the Illy coffee is the perfect way to start your day.
The location is also good, however, as a single female traveller, I would recommend my fellow ladies to be cautious in the evenings/at night as there are a lot of homeless/drunk people in the area.
The staff at the reception was also nice and welcoming, I would recommend this hotel.
When the friend I was traveling with called the front desk and notified them that the shower had shattered, they simply said they would send housekeeping up. After ten minutes of being covered in glass, (I could not rinse it off because the glass was all over the floor and sink), I had to go downstairs myself, still bleeding, to talk to the front desk attendant. I was only able to get there because my friend found the only clean towel, (the only towel without glass on it), placed it over the glass, and I walked on that to get out of the bathroom.
When I told the front desk attendant (I do not know his name but he was working the morning of August 9th, 2025) what happened, he simply looked at me confused and said housekeeping would be up shortly. I said there’s glass all over my body and showed him my hands. This is when I asked for a new room to take a shower. He said they were all booked, which I understood, but he nor anyone else offered me band aids or a towel to clean off the glass or even offered an apology.
The front desk attendant sent up the person who had been attending the bar to see the bathroom. She saw it and swept up the glass. He eventually called this person and she explained that the shower had not merely broken, but shattered. That’s when he asked her to put me on the phone. She gave me the phone, told me that they would have a room in the afternoon, and in the meantime I could go “explore the city”…. while I was still covered in glass.
Instead of dealing with the obvious carelessness of the hotel any further, (and thoroughly upset at this point), I booked a room elsewhere and left.
I did not follow up with Park Hotel as I thought the behavior incredibly careless, inconsiderate, and atrocious. Hotels, no matter how affordable, should be run by people who understand they are in the business of hospitality. This hotel, I fear, possesses no one who cares about that.
No manager reached out to me, and no refunds were offered.
At my next hotel, upon my arrival, they gave me band aids, a towel, and made sure that I could enter my room four hours early to shower and get the glass off my body.
I highly discourage anyone from staying at this hotel. when traveling, there’s bound to be some kind of minor or major inconvenience, and this hotel is ill equipped to manage any of it.
Enjoyed relaxing at the rooftop pool after a long day of sight seeing. Breakfast offered a good selection.
