The Onix Liceo is a fabulous hotel. The location is so convenient to any direction you want to go in Barcelona, right off La Ramblas, but extremely quiet. The front desk couldn’t be more pleasant or helpful. The room was extremely clean, which is my requirement, air conditioning was great, and the Wifi worked well. Overall, the hotel was wonderful!!! Highly recommend it.

Staff were excellent. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Told history of property- very interesting! Booked taxi to airport for us. Gave excellent dining recommendations. Had free beverages in the lobby. Room was big for Europe.

It is on a convenient location to the Ramble, restaurants and publications c transportation. The hotel is a mixture of old and new architecture. Room was nice a bright and clean.

Cheers and chairs
The bed was comfy, 100% cotton sheets. Room was great large enough. Bathroom nice. Only complaint is the desk "chair" was a low, wobbly ottoman. And there was no other chair in the room.

Perfect spot for a base in Barcelona, right next to gothic quarter and las ramblas, lots of restaurants and shopping, and metro access to go anywhere else. You could also walk to barceloneta beach. The facility was lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed our room which had a terrace! :)

We were given a substandard room, not what we had paid for. The room stinks like disinfectant, the windows are hard to open, we were handed a spanner to do it, no air-conditioning either. The toilet has no toiletries.
The receptionist was extremely rude. When we raised with her the issue about the incorrect room and asked if we could see the one we actually paid for, she said no and not to come ask again as she will not have time for us.
We do not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are so many others better for the same value. The management should retrain their staff as they are not fit for work in hospitality.

The location is the best. It's on Las Ramblas, so I only took the subway once during the five-day stay. Transportation costs were almost non-existent. The ceilings were high, so it felt much more spacious. However, the soundproofing is not very good. If you are sensitive, don't go. You can hear the baby crying in the next room.

Worst hotel experience of my life. Reception let us wait for 30 minutes on the desk even though we were with child. Rooms are more than basic and in urgent need of a renovation. AC is so loud that even when switched-off, it’s hard to sleep with the noise. Also can’t open the window because it smells like restaurants cooking right underneath. Neighbor rooms are super loud and walls paper thin. We will change hotels after a devastating night.
