We chose the hotel because it was close to La Rambla, El Mercado Boquería and Plaza Catalunya. I'd read reviews complaining about noise etc I brought some earplugs just in case, but we were so tired at night after sightseeing all day we slept straight through till morning. Our room was clean and comfortable and we had a balcony overlooking the square. We used the coffee shop across the road in the morning to get coffees and pastries before setting off to catch the buses around the city. The metro station is really close by as well. I'd definitely stay here again.

If you loving hearing the entire conversation your neighbors are having at 2 am, then definitely stay here! 0/5 stars honestly.

The walls are paper thin. We could hear full on conversations from people next door. Heels stomping and even their phones ringing (crazy)

We called the front desk at 2 am to ask if there was anything they could do and they said they asked us to step outside, get their door number, and call them back. Shortly after, we heard the neighbors phone ringing (also crazy)

Nothing changed. Horrible stay.

Only good thing about this place is the location.

Would not recommend.

This hotel is pretty but make sure you lock all your valuables in the safe. I stayed for a week and had money stolen by housekeeping and when I brought it to their attention all they said was that their staff is trustworthy, didn’t help me or do much. The breakfast is also extremely bland and not very good. It’s a pretty hotel but I doubt I’d ever stay here again.

Our experience at this hotel was not what we expected. The bathroom wall and shower were moldy, which was concerning. When we asked to switch rooms, the staff responded with poor attitude instead of assisting us. The front desk service was also unfriendly, and we didn’t feel welcomed throughout our stay. Improvements in cleanliness and customer service are definitely needed.

Great location across from the market right on the edge of the Gothic Quarter and El Raval. The rooms are small but clean and even our interior room had a nice little terrace. We didn't love the breakfast; the fresh juices and pastries from the market just across the way, or one of the many bakeries nearby, were a much better option. Overall, our stay was pleasant and I felt it was a good value.

Fantastic location, within walking distance of the main areas.
We stayed in the penthouse room and really enjoyed it. The room was modern and full of natural light - clean, with a bath and shower.
We arrived late in the evening, so having a 24/7 reception was extremely helpful.
Friendly staff.

So before we booked, we read the reviews and we knew what we were signing up for.

The hotel is very close to La rambla street which is the main one. It also very close to the train station and public transportation in case you need to get around in that way.

It’s near the mercat square. Easy to get to and get around with ease.

With that being said , the rooms are awful. No issues with the AC but the bed was so hard and the bathroom is so small.rooms in general are very small

They weren’t kidding about the customer service - there is none but they didn’t bother us and we didn’t bother them.

We never really saw any homeless people or stench that some of the folks mentioned in there reviews. Overall the convenience and price drove us to stay here. It got the job done.

I’ve traveled to Barcelona many times and have stayed in some truly spectacular hotels throughout the Gothic Quarter — elegant, pristine, and full of charm. But this time, I made the grave mistake of booking this hotel from hell for just one night before heading to Sitges. One night was more than enough.

From the moment I checked in, everything unraveled. The first room they handed me had a sink clogged with hair — and not a stray strand or two, but a full, disgusting blockage. The phone in the room did not connect to the front desk so I had to go downstairs to notify front desk for help. The gentleman’s first suggestion was that I “just push it down with my finger to unlock the drain.” Only after I refused did they send someone up.

What followed was pure chaos. I sat on the bed as the maintenance man practically disassembled the entire bathroom — pulling out clumps of hair, water splashing all over the floor, the smell of damp mildew filling the room. That was it for me. I packed my bags immediately and demanded a new room.

The next one wasn’t much better: two twin beds awkwardly shoved together.

But the service itself was the real disaster. I had a guest come to visit that day. Instead of doing the simplest thing imaginable — calling my room to let me know my guest had arrived after the guest asked to be connected to my room — the woman at the front, with short blond hair refused and left them waiting in the lobby for nearly an hour with a dead phone. No courtesy call, no attempt to reach me. My guest finally had to borrow a stranger’s phone from across the street just to contact me.

When I confronted the front desk, the woman there — unprofessional to the point of rudeness, possibly even racist in her demeanor — simply shrugged. No apology, no explanation, not even the faintest trace of concern. She demanded passports, avoided eye contact, and carried on as if basic hospitality was beneath her.

If you value service, cleanliness, or even basic human decency, stay far, far away from this place. There are countless hotels in Barcelona and GQ that treat their guests with outmost respect and love and provide a clean, welcoming environment.

This one? It’s a nightmare I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
