Som Nit Born in Barcelona

It was the only one I could find in the area with a room for four people (with four individual beds rather than a sofa bed which can be quite normal) and the location was good. However, it is situated on the first floor in an old building so it doesn't have a proper reception - you have to enter through a standard building entrance and make your way to the first floor before you've actually reached the 'hotel'. And, the worst part, there is no lift! So we had to carry our luggage up the rather narrow staircase. They're putting a lift in so it should be sorted by next year. Also the reception closes at 9pm, so if you're arriving late you need to collect your key from a neighbouring hotel. That wasn't very helpful either. But once there we had a spacious, clean room, so it was good. Once they put in the lift I'd give it five stars.

I stayed here early March for 3 night's. Yes room was small but very good value and spotless. There were larger more expensive rooms available. Very central and staff very helpful,especially the young lady. Spanish bar few doors along sells cava €1.25 a glass. Great holiday.

This isn't a hotel in the traditional sense. It's more like a mini-hotel, like a large apartment. It's actually a floor of a building. Keep in mind that the hotel sends a registration form with your passport information, which you must fill out in advance. Then they'll send you a code that opens all the doors. You'll see it after check-in; it's valid after 3:00 PM on your arrival day. The elevator goes directly to the hotel, and it also requires a code. The room is clean, has a hairdryer, safe, shower gel, refrigerator, and TV. However, the room is very small. You can hear absolutely everything that's going on in the neighboring rooms, the hallway, and the reception area. The hotel is well located: the embankment is nearby, and many attractions are within walking distance. There's a Red Bus stop nearby.

Great hotel location
The hotel was in a great location, close to the Gothic Quarter and Barceloneta which was our main reason for choosing it. The check in process was really simple with regular communication from the hotel on what to do for gaining entry to the building. The staff were really welcoming and friendly, offering good advice for the area and staying safe in the city.
Our room was really clean and well maintained each day we were there.
A few things that could have been better was, having more daylight in our room. Ours faced into the small internal lift space so there was no view and very little daylight. The room, bathroom in particular felt a little tired and needed a little updating.
There were a couple of occasions where it was a little noisy from other guests but the staff did address this without us having to.
There wasn’t a secure, locked space for us to leave our luggage when we checked out so it had to be left within the main reception area next to the staff member.
Overall though it was a great stay and the location was the definite winner for it.

Kind host and lovely hotel. Very close to beach with lots of restaurants and bars around.
