I stayed at this hotel over the New Year period and unfortunately left disappointed, despite the beautiful setting.

The property itself is visually impressive, and I would like to highlight that the porter and the spa staff were genuinely kind and professional.

Prior to arrival, I contacted the hotel in advance as a solo female traveler, explaining that I was specifically looking for a room matching the website visuals — particularly a room with a balcony and sea view. I paid the supplement for the view, as I was hoping to watch the New Year’s fireworks from my room.

The room I received did have a partial view, but no balcony. Only one window could be opened, positioned on an angle and not directly facing the sea. The overall layout and experience of the room were significantly different from the visuals shown online, which prominently feature rooms with balconies.

When I raised this issue and showed the website photos, I was told that these were “promotional/marketing images” and that the actual room might differ. I was asked to wait while alternatives were checked, but no solution or room change was offered. I was also informed that the window won't be opened.

Several operational issues further impacted the stay. The room phone was not working, meaning all communication had to be done via WhatsApp. Despite reporting this, the phone was never replaced, so I could only contact reception via WhatsApp or by going downstairs myself. There was also a noticeable drainage-like odor in the room, which was not addressed. Additionally, no in-room information was provided (room service details, minibar pricing, or contact numbers), all of which had to be requested manually.

In terms of value, excluding the spa, three meals (very light portions, no alcohol) amounted to around €230, while the food quality was correct but not memorable. For a hotel positioned at this level, I expected more attention to detail and a stronger sense of hospitality.

I politely shared these concerns in writing during my stay and asked whether a commercial gesture could be considered. Unfortunately, my message was seen but never answered, and nothing was offered at check-out.

While the setting is beautiful and some staff members were kind, the lack of attentiveness, clarity, follow-up, and resolution made the experience feel misaligned with the hotel’s luxury positioning.
