Where to stay with pets in Alicante

I would defo recommend this hotel and location to anyone as its the nicest and cleanest hotel I've been too ! Also when you walk into the door of the hotel there's an amazing smell over the whole hotel and since being home I can't get it out of my head lol I need to know what air freshener they use !!! I give this hotel 10/10 loved it ! Thank you melia for making my stay perfect x

My stay at Meliá Alicante was unfortunately very disappointing, despite the hotel’s excellent location. The setting is truly beautiful, right by the sea, and that is probably the only highlight of my experience

Around 4:00 PM, I went to the reception myself and was given a different room instead. The situation became even more concerning when I reached the room and found the door already open

Lovely hotel with attentive staff and excellent service. The location is perfect and costs approx 25€ taxi to the airport. It is a good location for exploring Alicante and we visited the castle

As a frequent traveler, I found this very unusual and confusing. I was then told that check-in would be at 4:00 PM and that I would receive a call once my room was ready

Our first time in Alicante and we booked this hotel and we can definitely say our stay here has been awesome. The hotel has all mentioned facilities and the main attraction is Location

I was really happy that the water was refilled daily. The breakfast was also delicious, and it was a great bonus that kids ate for free. This hotel really made me fall in love with Alicante.

I really enjoyed staying at the AC in Alicante. Beautiful room, very quiet both great windows and very quiet heating/AC. So glad I spent the €15 on breakfast. Great service and high quality food

The room was small but sufficient and the location is good. The pool was very busy and without much shade. The jacuzzi was much appreciated.

The hotel is a franchise, so the decor is old; it just rebranded. The facilities inside are very basic. Plus, there are very few parking spaces, so we had to park on the street, which was inconvenient.

The room was very spacious, and there's a small gym and sauna. The front desk staff were super friendly, and the location is excellent – close to both the city center and the beach

One of the best places I stayed in Alicante. I got an upgrade and the room I got was amazing for the price I paid. Independent living room/office, huge bed, water jets in the bathtub and a huge terrace. Check the images!

It was very busy on a Saturday night, but we managed to get a table after a short wait. Beautiful view! The location is a bit further out from the city center and a bit quieter

The hotel facilities are great and very kid-friendly. There are two swimming pools and a water park for children. Both breakfast and dinner were quite good. It's definitely a worthwhile choice.

The hotel was perfect! Breakfast and dinner were just wow! The hotel has 1 big pool and 1 rooftop pool that is heated. 25 min away from center of Alicante by public transport. Everything was 10/10.

Very nice stay and in close proximity to the beach. Very friendly staff who are very accommodating. There is a heated roof top pool. But they don’t advertise it well

Newly renovated hotel with huge garden and pool. The spa is fantastic (it has a super cold ice bath, 2 saunas and 2 pools) and the dinner is also great

I came to this hotel for my anniversary with my partner and the service from the hotel staff was just amazing! The room was very nice and clean, the breakfast had a huge variety and was delicious, and the location was pretty central

Got a good price and wasn’t sure what to expect. Butnabsoutkey needn’t have worried. We thought location was great- if getting the bus from airport there is a stop right opposite. Good sized twin room on third floor

Location was great and the room was clean. However the heating in the hotel is too high. Even if the heater was not turned on, the room was too warm. It got better when they switched to ac instead

A large hotel with a very good location. The rooms and the hotel as a whole were clean, but untidy - there are quite a few small defects everywhere, which make an unpleasant impression on the guests

Only issue we encountered is the canteen staff did not speak English and with our full board chosen as an extra it was buffet at times and ordering from the menu and times, so with the language barrier it just made things abit difficult

Their outstanding service made a real difference and deserves special recognition! Additionally, the food was outstanding every day, both at breakfast and dinner. We are looking forward to our next visit already

Its been a wonderful experience in Daniya Alicante. The staff are very pleasant and ready to help at all times. Valentina was really helpful, she was all over the place ensuring our comfort at dinner times

Our main priority was location as we wanted to explore the castle, and we found that the start of the trail up was just about five minutes away, there was also a tram station nearby, we could easily walk from the beachside to the hotel, and there was a big shopping centre not too far away from the hotel

Staying at the Maya Alicante was a great experience. The reception staff were welcoming and professional and the catering and room staff were happy and friendly

The room was spotless and very well looked after every day — you can really tell the staff care. And the breakfast was spectacular! So many delicious options and everything fresh and beautifully presented

We have not done a lot of research since it was very last minute, but found the hotel when looking at comparison websites and headed to their own website to book directly and get a better deal

The hotel was clean and the bedroom comfortable - I didn’t want to get out of bed it was too comfy!! The food was good! Plenty of vegan options in the evening but not so much for breakfast although there was lots of fruit and toast which was great

Lovely place to stay near popular tourist attractions. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The bathroom is nice and has a bathtub and even a bidet

The rooms are generally spacious and of good quality. However, the location is quite remote, which may be advantageous for those seeking peace and quiet, but could prove problematic for people without a vehicle.

Went with my two friends, we all got separate units. We didn’t golf at all, lounged by the pool and went to the beach. The rooms are well air conditioned and the views are amazing

Good rest! Two swimming pools, and picturesque nature that surrounds all buildings! Quite a large number of palm trees, different types of trees and bushes, which gives oxygen saturation to every breath of yours! The hotel is located further from the local traffic, where it gives a good rest for both body and soul! One moment, I would like a bigger gym, as well as baths, saunas are not enough

It is close to the airport but you don’t hear the planes! It is also close to Alicante if you want to visit the city. We stayed on two occasions and at first we enjoyed the pool area as it is excellent for small children

Swimming pool was WOW. Golf course very well kept. A nice chilled stay with beautiful surroundings. Reception staff excelled. Would definitely stay here again. Good location with a nice square across the road.

The woman at the reception with glasses was not very friendly and came across as quite condescending, which did not make us feel very welcome. The rooms themselves are quite old and clearly in need of renovation

Nice room, helpful staff, all good but. some incompetent manager figured out a strange rule to take 200 euro deposit as if me and my family was supposed to break something and don’t pay for the damage

Considering the price and the restrictions, there are definitely better options to stay in Alicante. Overall, the hotel was acceptable, but with these issues I would personally choose another place next time

Such lack of trust results in a -1 star rating from me. They claim it’s a standard procedure but I’m a frequent hotel guest and not a youngster anymore and that’s the first time I see such nonsense rule

Very clean. Great location with a bus stop right outside to take you to the centre or the old town. Room was great, comfy bed and good shower. Would definitely stay here again

Bathroom was newly renovated, very nice shower. Aircon (for heating) worked very well. No fridge (just for those really wanting one) Location is good, 5min from Tram stops, 3min from the beach

If i lay in bed and have the shower door open it's like u have ur neighbour's inside ur room. And the breakfast is very basic but still OK

Location is unbeatable even for a manageable city like Alicante - walkable to the water, the cathedrals, art museums and the castle. Other amenities - Pool is a good size with plenty of loungers

The hotel is very comfortably furnished and located right in the center of Alicante. The rooms are spacious, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful

Only thing missing for me was a bar. Apparently there's one up top but closed when we went. The cosy library would be perfect spot for one. Parking in basement tight but great to have one in such a central location

We had one evening meal whilst there and whilst it was a bit expensive it was beautiful and very tasty. Location we caught no 2 bus a 5 min walk away to city. Be aware the no 2 is different buses going out and coming in

Lovley stay with confey beds and pillows. Friendly staff always happy to help. Also help me to surprise my partner with a small cake for his birthday on the balcony.

Great hotel with a luxerious feeling. Everything you need and good service. A little far out of the cetre. Recommended if you have transport, like a car or bike.

The location of the hotel is very convenient, as it is approximately 10–15 minutes by taxi from the airport and about 7–10 minutes to the city center by Uber

Not so much of the advertised "Miralta experience" at the lounge in the winter, will need to come back check that out again in the summer. Thoroughly enjoyed the week-long stay

It's a bit hard to find, but everything else was excellent.

The main thing to be aware of is location. The hotel is around a 20-minute walk from Alicante Old Town, so it’s slightly out of the way compared to hotels right in the historic centre

Hotel was clean. Rooms were good. Parking was handy and free. 20-30 mins walk from he all main places. Hotel keeps security deposit in form of credit card too. Which was not normal . No other hotel kept the deposit.

The hotel got a very good location in between the town centre and the airport, around 15-20mins walk to the centre. Clean toilet, comfy beds, nice staffing, match the price. Overall it was a great experience.

Had a bite and beer in restaurant and enjoyed both! Definitely a recommendation!

Overall, it was not bad. We found their services were enough for travelling this city. One drawback is that this hotel is located in the end of city center and we need to walk 20 or 30 minutes to vibrant area.

The hotel is centrally located, so expect some outside noise at night. The beds are very firm, which may not suit everyone. The room is spotlessly clean, though the air conditioning is quite weak

The hotel is nicely finished, the service is ok. However, the hotel is located in an old tenement house, so outside noise can penetrate the room.

We shipped our motorcycles from Australia so to get them damaged in a car park of a hotel brand we have trusted for many years is both a sadness and a huge disappointment. The security gate only worked on the first night

The parking spot the van was in was not a designated parking area for any vehicle as it was painted red. There are big signs everywhere to park in the right parking spots or receive a hefty fine

The second night there were a number of cars coming in and out almost patrolling at around 3am clearly not residents. Third night there was a bang but couldn’t see what happened

Fourth night van came in at midnight and hit the bikes which set off the alarms and had the whole hotel awake. They clearly just ran in to the hotel and knew exactly what they’d done

Good rooms great staff but a little out of town which is no problem if you have your own car (free parking on site)

Nothing too much to fault inside the hotel which was clean and comfortable, except maybe the limited dinner menu

This is an excellent budget hotel. Basic but clean and comfortable, easy up locate and near the airport. The staff are wonderful, friendly and very helpful. I will uncountably use it again and recommend it to friends.

it was just okay for what you expect for the price. good location if you have to catch an early flight at the airport nearby. the breakfast was not worth the money you pay for it though

Dogs barking after midnight and again very early morning (approx 6am). Overall, a cheap night but we probably won't use one again

Clean hotel. Friendly staff specifically very kind and energetic lady at restaurant Ms Yolanda is the best among all.

Shower room sliding door was not straight and partially hanging off - no floor restraint so could be pushed away from its frame (it wobbled to and from the wall). Poor soundproofing so others closing doors was quite loud

This hotel was perfect, great rooms, wonderful kind and helpful staff, and a very short walk to a great long beach. We stayed with our dogs, and they were made to feel very welcome

The onsite restaurant, Pocardy, is fantastic. The breakfast was definitely worth paying for, and if you are dining here in the evening, you will not be disappointed. Delicious food, and we loved their godella wine

A wonderful hotel situated right by the lovely San Juan beach. Visiting in January, ie out of season, the area was lovely and quiet, though this did mean that not all local restaurants and cafés were open

This is key if you stay here in December/winter. Many places will have old windows and will be very cold. Mine still smells like a new one. With luxurious spa like soap, shampoo, towels. Location is just at the beach

Location is really easy to reach by bus and you can park car near hotel for free (also its has paid parking spots in hotel). Beach nearby has no sand only stones so you have to walk to nearest beach located on east

My wife and I have just stayed here for 4 nights from 26th Feb. Small bus ride into Alicante. Rooms were very good, clean, comfortable and great value. We had no issues with road noise and all the staff were excellent

A small minor issue was, I think the room used to be a twin and is now a double, but the bedside cabinets were fixed and were a little too far from one side of the bed. I am sure they we be fixing this soon

I will say that it all looked good and was well maintained and clean. The restaurant area was simple but functional. The only real issue I had was with the evening meal the main courses were not labelled

I will say though on our first night I asked what was Gluten free, and was informed after they check that none of the main courses were GF. The chef cooked me something extra

We stayed at Hotel Boutique Calas de Alicante for 7 nights over Christmas. We arrived around 02-00 and we greeted and made very welcome by the night receptionist
