Relatively cheap hotel in a great location. Very nice service. The reception is open 24/7. The room was cleaned every day. Free wifi.
You can see that the rooms need refreshing.
The price, however, is adequate to the quality.
I recommend!

Very good hotel! We stayed in the family room, with 2 floors. Is very clean and the beds are good. The location is absolutely superb. The street where the hotel is located is quiet and 2 streets further is the pleasant bustle. Very close to Plaza de Virgin and the other sightseeing of the old town. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very satisfied and highly recommended.

Sold on benefit of location and duplex family room, however major failing in the internal noise of the hotel is unacceptable - the noise travels up the open staircase to all levels, there is no escape, the beds are the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on, the shower is inconsistent (off or on for each of us), no facilities, next to a youth hostel and a meat factory (Las Cuaves puños out beef fat smells 24/7). Good on paper, terrible in reality. Nice receptionists though.

A nice hotel, with 24hr reception. Nice twin bed room with air conditioning. I appreciate I'm British & to that end I would have liked a kettle & cuos, etc, in the room. Nice hot shower. They do not have a restaurant, however offer a % off down the road. An easy walk into the square which has a lively night pavement culture. I would stay here again.

My family, mom, dad, and a 23 and a 16 years olds, had a pretty good stay at Ad Hoc Carmen Valencia in June 2022. Warning: their air conditioning is questionable, at least by US standards in their family duplex rooms. We would stay there again (see below). Ad Hoc Carmen is in a nice neighborhood with many tourist attractions and restaurants within walking distance. It is quiet at night. Bath rooms were small but adequate and showers had hot, hot water and good water pressure.

Warning: We reserved one of their duplex family rooms but if we were to return during the warm months we would likely get two standard rooms. Their family rooms are duplexes with second levels the top floor of the hotel (at least that is what I was led to believe). There are a/c units on each floor of the room. The first night neither of levels a/c was adequate. After complaining, the front desk checked our room and a neighboring room. Our room was a good deal hotter than outside in the morning. We switched to a neighboring family room and that was okay but less than perfect for nights two and three – lower level was fine but upper level was still a bit too hot. My concern is come July and August when it is really hot I don't think those rooms will be cool enough at night.

Not that cheap but great location for seeing the many sights Valencia . The room we had wasn't that good due to the darkness within the room . Even worse to find out that the adjacent apartments look straight into your small room . Great friendly staff only let down is rooms at on front of hotel .

Amazing location with a very nice clean room for my party of 3, at great value. A/C in the room, reliable WiFi. Deserving of the other good reviews. Would stay again.

Very nice, quirky, clean and spacious hotel in a perfect location for exploring most of Valencia by foot, bus or bike. A stone's throw from one of the cities best squares and not much further from the old river bed park. Shame that there are no breakfast options at the hotel but, there are so many places near by it was definitely not a problem. Our room was lovely and way bigger than we needed. The terrace was small but pleasant although we never felt the need to use it with so much on our doorstep. Thoroughly recommend this place, was good value and the staff were lovely and helpful too.

Stunning rooms, in a lovely building, with unbelievably quick access to the old city, including all it's cafes and restaurants. Could not have asked for more.

A fantastic location with good sized rooms. The staff are friendly and although there is no breakfast there are lots of great places very nearby .

Amazing spanish restaurant! 13 Euros for two main dishes (including paella) and dessert. Great quality and extra-friendly staff. Strongly recommended.

Lovely paella, reasonable prices.
The place is really good. I saw few big Spanish families there what means the place is popular for locals, what means good and cheap food. I wasn't worng. It takes a bit long to be served because was full, but for 12 euros we could eat a lot with the menu of the day where you can choose 2 dishes for this price. The staffs were lovely and even with no much English they tried to help us as they can. Super recommend.

Make a reservation! The place is full especially at lunch time!

Paella is amazing!!! They cook it 1-2 hours in advance as a good paella should be cooked! Don't be fooled to eat (instant) paella cooked when you order it for not more than 15-30 min.

Visited it again in September 2017. Big changes from previous years. Food quality changed. My favorite seafood soup doesn't contained seafood any more. Cod fish was salty, impossible to eat. Have to change to 2 stars. New owner? Only 2 waiters for all restaurant, nothing they can do, waiting time was 40 minutes. Cory (waiter) was very nice, going out of his way to help.

Come back to Valencia, restaurant didn't change. Excellent food, excellent service. Thank you Jorge. (April 2017)

Very good food. Good service. Our waiter was very good and professional. Thank you Rodrigo. (July 2015)

This local lived better times, now he has the fame. Four entrees and plate, 20€. The two starters took half an hour, not brought nor salt, nor oil that we had to catch the bar. 10 minutes and the other two. The dish (paella) that's supposed specialty of the house, past and pringoso. Not brought bread. The wine cooler (which they said they brought it right away). We will not return never more
