OYO 388 Surf Sea Breeze in Mirissa

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at sun sea breeze, perfect location if you’re visiting mirissa We watched the surfers from the restaurant and snorkelled directly outside the hotel , the hotel is shady so great if you want a little respite from the sun

Just spent 5 nights at the Surf, Sea Breeze Mirissa. The hotel is a little bit dated but couldn’t fault it tbh. It was tucked up on the corner of the beach away from the hustle of the restaurants along the main beach and the surf spot was right in front of the hotel so we could watch out 12yr old surfing to his hearts content. The staff were super helpful and there were many great restaurants within a short walk. Another plus was the breakfast which really good, loads of options and plenty of food which would see us through until evening dinner. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Mirissa and would be more than happy to stay again.

This hotel is located right on the beach. Deck chairs within 20 ft of the ocean. It's hard to beat. Swimming pool also with ocean views. I paid for a budget room and so I never expected much. It was clean and had the essentials. The pice includes a large breakfast chosen from the menu. The staff friendly Overall I really enjoyed my stay

Cannot rate this place highly enough. We came to mirissa for a beach weekend retreat and Surf Sea Breeze hotel provided everything we needed for the most relaxing, peaceful stay. The hotel room was spacious, with the comfiest bed of all our stays in Sri Lanka, like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom was also large and absolutely spotless, with an amazing shower and excellent water pressure. The shared areas including the bar, restaurant and pool were immaculate. We really enjoyed swimming in the pool whilst also being next to the ocean and beach. Finally - breakfast!!! The breakfast included in our stay had a variety of options from a menu rather than the usual continental you would expect from a common hotel breakfast. We tried all breakfast options during our stay and safe to say they were all delicious. Thank you Surf Sea Breeze for the most amazing weekend!!!

Lovely beach front location. Good mix of sri lankan and western food. Had a very nicely cooked seabass with good sauces and rice. Cocktails were nice and too too alcoholic. Service was decent enough. Be aware that there can be crabs in the sand.

My family and I were highly satisfied with the services we received as all of the staff were highly professional and experienced. From the ongoing hospitality and hard-work of all of the associates, we would undoubtedly recommend this facility to our friends, family and loved-ones!

Beautiful location .we love this place much and staff was so nice and helpful .manger he helped us arrange our transportation yalla tour also .hmmm.food is good specially .but i think around there have some nice places for dinner we had some Gray vision about this place while we are reading some of reviews but those are not true .we are highly recommended this place just visit and know ....

We reached Mirissa in the evening of 2nd December with our guide and driver Ashoka. GPS was little confusing us in reaching the hotel but when we reached there the manager Mr Dambula came out to our car and welcomed us. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a balcony attached to the room from where we enjoyed thundering but friendly waves of Indian Ocean. The room has a large refrigerator and a nice bathroom. There was no intercom in the room and when I asked the manager about it, he said that they don't have room service either. It was little shocking because at this age it was difficult for us to climb stairs everytime we needed something. Mr Dambula solved our problem by sharing his cell number and promised that he would help us if we needed something. The best thing with this property is that you sit in your own balcony and enjoy your drink watching waves playing with the surfers. Everything went well except a few small things which were pinching us. They clean the room only on alternate days. There is no room service. So everytime you have to go down and get the thing. They should keep one tv set in the room. Whale watching was very expensive because we could hardly have a glimpse of a whale but overall it was a nice ride of three and a half hours with nice and humble sailors.

The beachfront location is just beautiful. Our room was identical to the advertised pictures and was very nice. Big balcony overlooking the sea. Room had a good hot shower in the bathroom and a very efficient AC unit to keep cool. Loved sitting on the terrace watching the waves and surfers. We were lucky to be there when the new swimming pool opened and it's a beauty. It was great having a dip then back in the shade on one of the nice new loungers overlooking the sea. The swim up bar isn't ready yet but it's an ideal set-up. The workmanship looks very high with good attention to detail. All staff we dealt with were lovely and very helpful
