I never give 5 stars but the people here were lovely, the breakfast generous and the location just a short walk to the beach. The rooms were comfortable. This isn't a "5 star" hotel but it was great for us

Nice place close to the beach. Breakfast was very good. Tasty easy to take a bus from there. I would recommend to stay here thank you very much to the host.

This hotel cancelled our booking despite us booking 7 weeks before our trip. The reason we made bookings early is to secure our accommodations. However , No explanation was provided by the hotel and it is difficult to find another place to stay over the year end holiday season. They are probably looking to make more money from other bookings instead… so unprofessional!!!

The owner was lovely and provided a good breakfast. The accommodation was a short walk from the town centre, restaurants, and the lovely Mirissa beach, but the rooms were in need of a bit tlc. Linen was threadbare and didn't look particularly clean although it probably was. Bedding, including pillows needs replacing.

Super clean bedroom and bathroom. Lots of attention paid to detail. Having stay in 7 different accommodations over a 3 week stay in Sri Lanka this was by far the best place I’ve stayed in as far as room hygiene, comfort and attention to detail. Short walk to the beach and even shorter to the high st. Host very pleasant and also speaks English. Nice little patio outside the bedrooms. Very affordable - excellent value for money. You won’t be disappointed.

Over my 3 week visit to Sri Lanka with 7 different accommodations - I have to say, the Resort Of Happiness EXCEEDED all expectations. It ticked every box. Can’t fault the place. If only there were more owners of accommodations, who pay this level of care and attention to make the stay of the guest comfortable. I know some people review places because they like the owners etc. I rarely write a negative review because I don’t want to put people out of business - even though I’d hope that negative reviews (the justified one) act as constructive. Thank you for a 5 star room and a very affordable price.

I booked this place. I came and went to the bath. There was a little hole and huge amount of ants got out from this hope . After all the cover was dirty. I said that I leave after 1 hour. But the owner ask me for pay 1 day. Don’t recommend this place. So bad

We had the best stay ever at The Resort of Happiness. Where to start... The room and bed are big, theres a huge fridge, kettle, coffee, they let us cook up tuna in their own kitchen free of charge, great balcony, wonderful family running it, room was serviced to a high standard and regularly throughout our stay. We had nothing bad to say, it was PERFECT so we extended our stay from 2 nights to 10 nights. I can't recommend it enough so thank you so much!

Amazing spot tucked away for the busy and super noisy main road. Spacious rooms, really clean (needs saying, compared to higher priced places we’ve been In Sri Lanka, one of the most western), private balcony, own fridge and kettle, possibility to use the kitchen. The family that runs it also were all so nice and not scammers like basically every tourist place/restaurant in Mirissa. Highly recommended

We spent there a week in March. And we were absolutely happy that we had chosen those place.
At first the hostel is really close to the beach, just 5 - 7 minutes to walk. Then the host, she is so kind and bright person. She and her family are leaving the next house, so you can find them anytime to solve any questions. It was a real pleasure to greet them all every morning.
About the hotel: the room are quite big and bright. There are a big balcony (except the first first floor). I did yoga there every morning and it was enough place for it. The bad is huge and comfortable. You will have a kettle, teapots and caps. So you can have a morning tea or even coffee if you have it.
The hotel has a generator which works during the evening powercut. So you will have the wi-fi and light after the sunset.
